2nd day of owning my current S3 a 'tard in an ancient Focus decided my car looked better without it's driver mirror. We sat at standstill seeing it was happening but I couldn't get to the switch quickly enough to fold it in. I was absolutely f*****g steaming, especially as the woman who was driving wouldn't get out of the car and talk to me so her passenger got out and tried to negotiate it as a 50/50. I doubt their car cost what it cost to replace the wing mirror (it's folding and has heated / dimming glass etc.), but it was the careless / carefree nature that these people have when they do it. I know it wasn't life or death (on this occasion), but it's easy for them to be flippant and try and play it down when your cars not worth much more than a decent coat. In the end I got it sorted through insurance, but the woman couldn't even look me in the face let alone own up. One word, but as it's a public forum I'll refrain from saying it.
So sorry for you with what's happened, it's awful when your pride and joy gets damaged within a couple of days. Just glad the damage to the car is not more extensive and that you are OK. People eh
I've never seen more motorists than I have of late on phones / looking in footwell / doing anything other than concentrating on driving. Put them all in room 101.
