After waiting ages for a receipt for the cambelt and waterpump that was changed when I bought my new car they finally sent it to me.

can anyone confirm whether these are Audi Part numbers or not or if they are genune OEM parts at least?

Timing Belt Kit: GTBK015604XS
Waterpump: BGACP3486

Thanks

Definitely not Audi parts, quick Google and they just look like standard motor factor replacement parts, the belts mate by Gates.

Oh joy.... its almost tempting to get it redone with genuine parts. hardly piece of mind using cheap parts.!
I part exed my old car and allowed them £500 of it to replace the two parts ASSUMING they would use audi genuine parts for god sake.
time for a complaint letter to get hold of the difference to put towards genuine replacement then! idiots

To be quite honest there is nothing wrong with Gates its very good stuff especially there belts but as for the waterpump thats another story.

I have never heard of that brand. But to be fair if you going to moan to them about either. I suppose you can ask them to change the belt to genuine. No place is going to use Audi parts unless it goes to audi or you request/supply the parts.

If you want the part numbers its:
Water pump: 06F121011
Timing Belt: 06D 109 119B

The belt is actually made by continental or dayco if I remember correctly. Which your local part store will sell for around 20-25 quid.

Thanks for the info. Im not going tobe snotty about it, they arent obligated to use genuine parts but if iw as a garage owner I would put trach on nice cars. A god damn french pile of peugeot rubbish is around that price to put on. And I did request for the parts to be genuine, and they are not which causes my anger.

but if im going to change the waterpump i may aswell do the belt and have the warranty behind it.

Nothing wrong with Gates gear pumps or belts, very good actually.

Well, theres only a handful of timing belt manufacturers in the world - and Audi aren't one of them.

Gates, Dayco, Goodyear, Optibelt, Continental, to name a few.

OE ones are manufactured by Dayco at the moment.

Sounding like you're being very "snotty" about it, appreciate you're angry at how you were duped but what knowledge of belts/pumps do have?? If you're an expert fair play but it's sounding like you're an uneducated Audi snob. Just because it comes from Audi doesn't make it a superior product, usually just a massively over priced one.

Did you made sure they put Audi air in the tyres???
