Maybe an easy one this... Will this car be fitted with Bluetooth as standard? It's got standard headunit.

I'm picking the car up tomorrow... If it's not standard is there a way to check for it and also how much roughly would it cost to get something fitted?

Mines got it fitted - best way to check, go & do a Bluetooth search & you'll find one called Audi_hv or similar! this should be your Bluetooth connection!

Was it part of the standard equipment do you know or will it be some have it and some don't?

Also so when I pick it up start the car the search from iPhone and see what happens?
 
Dunno if it's part of the standard equipment, I think it was on the BE's.

Yep do the scan from your iPhone, mine worked a treat - not sure of the pairing code though, it may be 0000 or 1234, the manual will tell you :)

Hmmm some confusion then... Would be good to have to. I wonder if it became standard the sametime they changed the wheels etc...?

Yeah like I said im collecting tomorrow... Also know to scan for audi etc... So thanks for the info.

You might have been lucky and whoever owned it could have specified it on the build. Not too expensive to retrofit if you need it anyway. The Audi system is very good indeed. Better than any aftermarket solution i have used in all my cars
 
This is MY2012. Mr six has bought a 2010 model. I have a 2012 model car and it has Bluetooth as standard as per your bulletin. He does not even have the same wheels

I hope mines not a 2010 :eek: mines the 2012MY with Bluetooth & the rotors as standard - its Daz that bought the 2010 :)
 
That's all correct. I started looking or my BE when 11 plates came out and they started fitting the rotors half way the through MY11 if I recall. At this point they also started fitting BT low and I ended up opting for BT high which includes the cradle in the arm rest and voice control

OP could be lucky. Only one way for him to find out
 
Thanks for all the info... will do as you said tomorrow when I have started the car and search for Audi - Hopefully I am lucky!! If am not for any reason how do I go about getting bluetooth fitted (audi genuine one) and roughly how much would it cost? I know I won't be able to fit myself as I'm not really good with things like that...
 
Bluetooth was deffo optional until 2011 when it became standard.
Mine is a MY11 60 plate BE with rotors and it didn't have Bluetooth :)
 
Hmm strange that as I found old brochures and it said it was an option and not standard ...
 
Make sure u search within the first few mins of starting up the car otherwise it might not pick it up.
 
Just got home from collecting it and nope no Bluetooth installed.
 
Yeah already emailed him for some prices... I do need the Bluetooth so will have to get it sorted.
 
Loved the drive home Robbie. Got home around a couple of hours ago had some food then just realised I must go for another drive so just got back. Love it...

I'm in the same boat as Igooch, I wish I had the extra horses.
Nothing a remap won't sort out tho :p

Possibly, my first 09 did not have anything extra, my 11plate has a tech pack, auto lights, cruise, windscreen wipers etc.

I didnt know this was installed until I read a thread here 3 years ago that mentioned doing the bluetooth search when the ignition was first turned on......

I still haven't fitted it to mine as I'm not in the car long enough.
Nice thing to find tho if u didn't expect it :)
