S3 Interior opinions and advice please..... pics

Hey guys

Been looking at the transformation of my car recently and are at a stage where i'm thinking that I want to do something with it or need someone to talk me out of it...... The interior in my car is the half leather alcantara option and in the Black/White colour format as from pics.. I'm starting to think that this combo doesnt suit the colour of my car though and would suit a Black or White car lovely!... Now I love these seats, not too cold in winter or too hot in summer and the heated elements certainly warm the tocks during winter fine... This is more of an aesthetic reason for wanting a change....

Thats my interior... Its pretty nice as I said but on a Black or White car it would look soooo much better imo

Just with the colour them of that car its in my opinion that the darker interior would look better, or am I clutching at straws looking for new projects ha......

Whats your opinions on it, would be greatly appreciated to get someone elses perspective on it.......??


I'm in 2 minds of what to do...Either find the new interior buy it, swap it out... or offer it up on ASN for exchange with anyone who has the above interior and would like a change.... All seats and door cards would neebe in like for like condition though and heated seats... Preferably from a like for like S3..... If anyone wants to twist my arm that way awell they could PM me..........


Anyway guys let me know what you think?

Its the Suede type inserts....

I have the black and white leather in my S3 and to be honest I'm not a fan, I like my lasses old seats in her old a3 sline which were the black leather.

Plus there a ****** to keep clean, always cleaning them lol.

Would probably cost a lot more mate than just swapping the interior... and it would be a waste of the seats... I really like them, but the colour just doesnt suit my car I think

I really like the black/white option. I'd say you don't need to change it IMO, however if you want to go for it especially if you can get a swap.

I've been considering doing the same to be honest as I have the black/red full leathers and think sometimes it is a bit much and I'd like the black/white or all black.

Yeah mate, I do really like the seats, I just dont think they are best suited to a sprint Blue car, be more suited to the likes of a Black or White car to keep an interior theme going... Like what your saying with yours... prob get away with them in a Black car but you seats would probably be better suited in a red 1?

Yeah I know what you mean, I looked at a sprint blue with the black and white combo when I was looking around before I got mine and I did think it went quite well. But I do agree they would probs look better in a black or white car.

Yeah my cars black and I've had a lot of people say they like the red/black but I think cause I spend so much time in there, sometimes all the red is just a bit too in your face haha. Would suit a red car better I think.

Was actually gonna buy that Black interior on that pic, but it was too far away for me to collect or get delivered so it was the 1 that got away unfortunately

Keep them, the white looks nicer and isn't as common. If you want something to do, change those alloys! Looks like something you'd find on a saxo! Not a fan of them unfortunately.

Haha big time graeme... I take it you seen my ranty status... Mondays are always bad for me mate in work.. Only work every 2nd monday mind you... But on a floating patch which consists of staring out the van window in a carpark til one of the other guys has an emergency... 1 trip to Tullibody is all i've done all day.. Boring stuff lol...

And I totally agree the Black will suit that better, but i'd rather have the Alcantara option still... Just need to keep my eyes open and try amd find it tho.... Shame that 1 in the orher pic was just too far away... Was Dagenham or something like like... London anyway

and had them deliverd to Swansea for £35

only down side is the damage to the back door cards

Was that the 1 from Dagenham... I seen they were quite cheap, but the seller couldnt even tell me if the front seats were heated... And delivery to Glasgow was stupidly expensive for what it was...

This is the same as mine yeh! This is a mid-dark grey alcantara though not black. It just looks darker in the pic they have used!

I'v got the black/white in my Sprint blue. Although mine is leather all round. I really like it! Although i'd change it for buckets!

i agree with you jacko the grey/black alacantra would look better. Personally I dont like the white seats anyway. Always dodge s3s when I see them on autotrader haha

Na Ricardo theres no denying that they white seats dont look good.... Only in the right car though with the right theme... Black or white car and i'd take my seats anyday over other 1's....

I can understand how you may not want them in a blue car though.

Could you give me tips on how you arranged a courier... Did you arrange it yourself and did know the weight, dimensions of the interior?

I know a local firm ive used to pick up tyres / landrover roll cages / winches etc just told them I had a set of seats and door cards etc and they sad sure £30 company is move it BTW based in Swansea but go allover the country daily . and want to know a better result ....

came with a airbag and steering wheel ... airbag sold on ebay for £100 so interior has cost me £190 incuiding delivery so far and minus whatever the wheel fetches

jacko I have he same issue with being in Swansea area of wales everything I like is up your way especially the cheap bikes!

Retrofit it... Ha... I asked the guy if they were heated and as I said he couldnt tell me so decided against it... So my loss is your gain
