i can however now say I'll be picking up my A3 next month, whooopie!!!

build week seven and fingers crossed for collection before 17th March because I have a trip to donnington I don't want to do in my mums little borrowed fiesta.

Thanks for for giving me my fix and the banter between a few regulars has me lol'ing, keep up the good work. I'm also planing my next one already and it will be Quatro! 😁 (must be quick to point out I don't regret not having it on this one at all because this is still a big step up in car quality over my previous). My 1st Audi will be loved but it's just the start of things to come I hope

I don't know whether or not its right, but I read on here that the build week was the week it ships! Maybe someone can confirm on here.

Not sure where you read that. Build week really is the build week. Shipping happens a week or two later.

First post on the forum... Getting ours in a month. When we ordered in December it seemed so far away I almost forgot about it, but starting to get pretty excited now.

It's a Sportsback - 2.0 TDI 1(184) Quattro S-tronic (replacing a MkV Golf GTi).

Nice choice, and you've moving from exactly the same car as I did! You won't be disappointed. IMO the 184 has better performance than the GTi.

Interesting to hear that as we only drove a 150 before we ordered it. The figures are pretty similar and I can imagine the diesel torque makes it feel snappier.

My Golf was one of the very first MkV GTis, we've held on to it so a long time as not much we've tested has really felt like an improvement until we test drove the A3.

Maybe a bit more sluggish at very low revs but once it hits its sweet spot it is relentless. Enjoy.

I think reading on here that's pretty normal. Mine was ordered October too and I was first quoted week 8. I think some of it is luck, if your dealer has a place allocated and can change the spec for you then some have been much quicker (lucky buggers) tbh though I ordered prepared to wait until March for the new plate.

It'll be worth the wait.....it'll be worth the....****** it, March hurry up an get here NOW!!!!

Must have had Santa's elves doing overtime in Germany. Got that shipped quick didn't they 👍 and your giving me hope. My birthday early March and you just never no! Dealer won't confirm because they don't want to let me down. I don't even expect it but it would be pretty great if it came on or very very near the day

I've just seen a post in "who collects March the 1st" from a member who was build week 5 (w/c 27th Jan) saying the car is at the dealers already! That's far quicker than I would expect but looks good for potential early or on time deliveries. Not sure I can keep my fingers crossed for a month and it's making it hard to type

I've been waiting five weeks since ordering and it's killing me. My build has come forward from week 18 to week 16 which is something I suppose.

Ages to go yet. I just keep thinking I'll get my S3 in time for the summer after all this rain!

I thought it a bit optimistic for it to be in the Uk today. I expect that means it's Likely to be on the boat at some point over the next few days / week.

Not to long now though so all good and really excited about picking it up. I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping an eye on boats into Sheerness until I hear it's made landfall

Nope, Audi must shift hundreds, probably thousands every day all over the world and I like you guys am simply another customer who has to wait in line. I've no more right than the next chap to have my car pushed to the front of the q. Most previous post say 3 - 4 weeks from build week so I guess that's what it will be. The only thing to do is forget about it until we get the date we can finally pick our beautifully engineered cars up. Kick back, relax and look forward to the end of these ****** storms

What build date were you? Do you know what stage your cars at, at the moment. I don't think mine will be here for March 1st either!!
