Test drove an 08 A3 2.0 TDI sport and loved it, car drove extremely well and bodywork seem'd perfect! Going to take another look at it tomorrow and I was just wondering if there is anything I should look out in the car, anything known to be an issue? Or something I should take note of if I get the car?

Here is a link to the car I test drove:- AUDI A3 2.0 TDi Sport 5dr For Sale in Preston - Deepdale Motor Company

Opinions on the price to, does it seem reasonable?

Is it 140bhp or 170bhp? Does it have everything you're looking for spec wise?

140bhp, I've heard the 170 had quite a few problems? I wasnt really looking for any features in particular. So what it has is fine in my books.

It is known to, however there are owners that love em :). But 140bhp is more than enough for most as standard. Price looks fine, have you had a look through the service history? What I will add is that if you go 2009 you'd get the facelift model with the newer rear lights!

Cannot really find a perfect 2009 in my area, tempted to get this model and just get the 09 lights for it!

Fair enough mate :) rear lights cost like £250-300 fitted, you a fan of the bi-xenons? The front end facelift conversion for the newer xenons costs like £1500!

That's not to bad really, Unless I sell a kidney I wont be getting the bi-xenon ones! haha

You feeling its a good deal though?

The cars nice, for that price I'm just wondering if you could get an actual facelift model? Something maybe like this? Audi A3 2.0 TDi 140 Sport Start Stop Sportback 5dr

Although the mileage is higher on it. Personally if I was in your position, I'd look for a facelift model. It'll save you £300 for the lights from the go, and who know what else should you ever want to convert to S line etc. You'd get the white dash as well which I think looks pretty nice.

Are there any others you've seen along with that one?

Personally, i'd be looking to pick up an S-line model. Given the fact its the last of the pre-facelift models im sure u'd be able to find one eventually. Just might need a bit more digging around and a few compromises (most likely mileage), but u'll end up with a better spec car. Just to give u an idea, 2 years ago i picked up my car for 7k with 84k on the clock, its a PD170 sportback with nav, bluetooth, full leather, non-bose, s-line suspension, privacy glass, and bbs pescaras to name a few. The cars prob worth way less now. My advice would be to keep shopping.

On another note, the battery tray is missing on the car ur looking at. And it looks as though its just grease but if anything on those terminals looks like any sort of corrosion that battery will need changing. Those mats aren't right for that car either. Its also missing a few wheel bolt caps.

Edit:

Just after a quick look on ebay with the following search criteria:

Audi A3 2.0 tdi s line
- 25,000 to 75,000
- £9000 max

Not sure if u specifically want a manual, this is a DSG and looks stunning
Audi A3 2.0 TDi S Line 170, 2008/08, Only 30K, FASH, 1 DOCTOR OWNER | eBay

Another decent looking example (these are the wheels i have)
2007 Audi A3 2.0TDI Sportback S-Line 5dr, LOW MILES, BOSE, 3 YEAR WARRANTY!! | eBay

This ones sold, but another good example
2007(07) Audi A3 2.0TDI 5dr Sportback S Line (140 bhp) Full Leather/Audi Concert | eBay

Theres plenty out there, keep looking
