VCDS - Coding help

Hi all,

I have successfully coded TPMS and Hill Assist to my 2010 S3 along with fogs activating for corner lighting. (Some hate it but had it on my C63 and liked it)

I have been looking at some threads but having trouble getting the following working.

Auto close all windows when doors lock
Auto close of windows when rain is detected (If the above is not an option)

I would also like to have rear lights on with the DRL's.

Another one was the DRL's flash when indicators are on. (Not sure if that is a 2012+ option though)

Hi m8,

I think u need to hold the lock button to get the windows to close, I don't think it automatically closes them for u ...
Unsure of the windows closing when it detects rain, not heard of that before and sounds lazy lol.
Rear lights on with DRLs is Scandinavian settings. There was an older thread on this a few months ago

To get the windows to open/closure with the remote you need to open them one at a time then close them, once closed hold the switch in the closed position for 10 seconds.

Yes I can hold it and it closes and vice versa for opening.

The closing when raining is good for if you want to leave the window open but close if it rains to save a soggy bum lol (I had this on my 2007 Golf GT 170)

I had read the same about changing to Scandinavian settings but cannot see that in my VCDS.

Are you referring to automatic closure Phil or comfort closing holding the lock/unlock button?

Ahh, that already works. It is full automatic closure that I was after with just a single press of the lock button to lock the car and close the windows.

Hi Robbie. I followed that but within 9 - I don't get the option to change DRL settings. It's all to do with locking on mine.
