A3 Saloon Ordered!

Hi everyone...newbie here!

I'm absolutely buzzing having just placed my order for an A3 Saloon and am chomping at the bit for a build and delivery week!

Getting it as a company car and have squeezed the life out of my monthly budget. Was set on the 2.0TDi S-Line which didn't leave me with much to spend on options so have gone for:

Daytona Grey
Audi Sound System
SD Sat Nav
Privacy Glass

This is the first Audi I've had and can't wait to get my hands on it!

Really nice car and spec. You will love it.

Sat in the exact same car with similar spec to yours at a dealer today (was silver though) and it did look super good in s-line trim.
 
Thanks mate. Oddly enough I never found a dealer with an S-Line Saloon in the showroom. Just Sports.

But I saw a few Sportback S-Lines and was sold!

Thanks. Any chance of a delivery before Easter do you think?

Does spec have a big affect on the wait? As I've not got much in mine I'm wondering if I'll have to wait as long or doesn't it work like that?

I ordered a similar spec back in October and it took just over 3 months.
 
Great car, great options. Privacy glass give a mean look :)
 
Nice car, saw it at the dealer showroom last week and it looked very good! Sat Nav is a must these days. I'm sure you'll love it.
 
Spec looks identical to mine apart from mine is hatchback ! Privacy glass looks ace - some people won't agree lol and audi sound system is far better than the standard sound system ! You'll love it, I waited just under 6 months for mine but as I say that wasn't a saloon ! Could you choose suspension on saloon?

I could yeah and spent weeks toying between Sport suspension and S-Line. At one stage I had S-Line on my list but having read numerous reviews and discussed with the lease manager, opted to take the safer bet and stuck with Sport (I was never going to deselect it!).

I would have chose it purely for the aesthetics, so didn't think it was worth the risk; I never found a dealer with test car that had it on. Sportback or Saloon.
 
Could help laughing oufc.. Can you deselect suspension?

My understanding is the S Line comes with Sport, you can deselect and have the allegedly softer sprung 'Premier Inn' (SE) version ( I think this is) or have S Line which drops it further so 3 levels are possible..

No doubt the usual suspects will tell me if I'm wrong:)

Like Privacy on the Daytona..
 
Haha...took a while for me to get that. No suspension...now that would be hard!!

You're correct, there are three options and I've chosen sport (standard) but wonder if car in pics is on the 'SE' ?
 
I wasn't aware there were 3 options. If I'd known I could lower my car to s-line suspension I would have. I didn't deselect so assume I have sport on mine.

Cake2u's looks like mine so I suspect his is sport too.
 
Sorry, there are three options if you have an S-Line:

SE (non cost 'deselect' option)
Sport (standard on Sport and S-Line)
S-Line (only available on S-Line)

I saw the same thing and when I mentioned it to the dealer they said the garages had no control over the spec. Whoever specced rise aweful star alloys on them all needs to be shot (hoping you didn't pick then and I backtrack quickly lol)
 
Great spec btw glad to have another A3 saloon owner, and look forward to seeing pics when you get it

I've just gone with the 18s that come standard with the S-Line

Another newby here...just ordered my Audi Saloon aswell. Comp car. Gone for s-line, comfort package in scuba blue with privacy glass. Cant waitttt..... bye bye vw :)

Good stuff! What lead time you been given? I've been told 12-14wks! Torture!
 
Hey guys, as the saloon is a unique model within the A3 range should we start a register of saloon owners and have it as a sticky?

I don't drive a saloon bu,t in the same way as I started the A3 184 Register, I think it's a good idea. It does mean that if a member wants to contact other members with a similar model they don't have to search through every ones signatures. Once you've started it, just send a PM to one of the Moderators and ask the to make it a sticky for you. I PM'd 'warren_S3'
 
How do you guys get such fast delivery times? I ordered my A3 saloon on the 7th of december 13, estimated delivery is May 14 :crying:
Almost half a year.. and I live in germany.
 
I think lots of stickies could work .

If that makes people happy.

I'll work on it chaps, just a bit busy at the moment. Even though it is the start of half-term tomorrow major work to our school network is happening and it means I have to go in this week, and no, I don't get paid for it either. I'm also upgrading my home PC/gaming rig as well, everything but the gfx card is going to be replaced...
