That looks awesome

Was thinking of a s4 but that looks spot on

Is this lowered?
What is needed for those alloys to fit and cost?

What tyre size are they too

I do like more oem looking cars these days and find these age models look beat at near standard

yes lowered on apex springs

and i have used fk wheel adapters 5x112 to 5x100 x 20mm all round about £200
wheels are 18x8 et45 and tyres are 215/35/18

Thanks

Do you know what standard tyre size are on the 17's

20mm all round looks good. Are the adapters good

ive no idea on tyre sizes at a guess 225/40 or 45

and adapters seem ok no problems so far

hows the ride with the Apex springs on the original dampers ?

well used your post as an excuse to go for a spirited drive and yeah pretty good can tell when you are on a bumpy surface
but i can put that down to the 215/35 tyres aswell.
i might upgrade dampers at a later date, but at moment im happy with the ride quality

That Golf Rallye looks amazing!

cheers bud, hopefully look alot better when its put back together

We need a Leeds meet! Im from leeds and i too own a rallye but of the 106 french kind... :-^

Awesome S3. S4 wheels are the best for it IMHO.

Stunning Golf, too.

I love your garage :D
cheers bud, and agree the 18's look so much better then the smaller counterparts.
and not my garage but a friends who is doing the resto work on my golf. wish it was my garage though :crying:

That's a nice looking S3, Ray !! :)
cheers bud

WOW.
Now I want 18's :|
cheers aswell

yeah up for a leeds meet, and you had me for a second then, thought they was another golf rallye owner in leeds :scared2:

Think I'm in love with your s3

ah thank you.

also while i was at the garage i tried my other set of wheels on. bbs vx 18x8

but the arches just dwarf the design of the wheel which im gutted about cos these looked amazing on my passat :crying:

Very nice mate. I do like those alloys. You spend alot of time In Cudworth then?

well know the lads at pd, but if im in the area i will pop in (im a truck driver)

other wise i go down on the odd weekend to see if there been any progress on the golf, or to see if i can do anything on it.

are you near cudworth ?

Lovely car truly stunning.

I'd be interested in how you polished your headlights and materials you used?

Its a job I'm keen to do my S3 I bought a 3m kit off the Internet but dubious about using it.

Where did you get the buttons for the climate control from? my ones looking really rough and would love to do the same :)

i basically did what tufty did, apart from i started at 1200 and worked up to 2000 w&d

from a A4 but A6, A4, A3, A2, all share same buttons just different surrounds etc, so if you find a set in a scrappy etc just strip it down. and push the buttons out really easy to do

Yes mate, I live in cudworth. Moving next week though to wath.

So the spray shop behind PD is doing the bodywork?

yeah bud he is, known rich along time painted my passat and he also painted the rallye originally

good to know awesome are still doing the cruise control carnt wait to get it on mine! :) seems a good price too!

yeah tbh dont think it be much cheaper if i did it myself

Just looks to me like you have the wrong size tyres on those rims

yeah i thought that, but dont think 225/40/18 would make that much of a difference without going lower.
thing is, its virtually same setup im running on the avus wheels 18x8 215/35/18.

another small update

car hit 130k other night

also went to meet dave, last week and picked up my rear tie arms. really happy with them and cant wait to get them fitted.

also bought these today, from leeds to wales in my girlfriends c1, and it only used £20 of fuel. wish the s3 was like that

this dolphin grey had inspired me to get the tt wheels

Stunning. Dads had two grey a4 avants and I love the colour!
