I've read up about the kits burning out the wiper motors but I seen some on eBay that say they've rectified this but is it just a way to charge more for a standard kit or is it true?

They claim to be the only ones to do so.....

These are for the wife's A3 1.6 sport which I had to buy because her crappy corsa engine decided it wanted to knock its tits off lol....

does anyone have a suitable link to any that will work if these don't?

Thanks Paul T

sadly, you can't really fit HID's to that car without changing the lights to projector units mate.

HID's in them won't work properly with the glass lense, and will scatter the beam everywhere, blind other people badly, and not actually give you a great light output.

That's a bit pants ain't it lol what other options do I have if any?

Fit facelift headlights, and a HID kit.

Would I need to swap bonnet an wings or are they exactly same shape?

Things ain't allus straight forward when I get my tool box out,be perfect if so :)

Most peeps fit facelift projector light units... there are a couple of links to threads on this in the FAQs and obviously a quick search for facelift headlight should net a few results... essentially you will need to trim a bit of metal inside the wing and get an adaptor plug and facelift projectors are then pretty much plug and play

Here's the link I used when I did mine,

A3 Facelift Headlamp Upgrade - Audifans.net

It's pretty straight forward to be honest. First one took me best part of two hours to do, then the second one I did in about 45 minutes, and the difference it makes to the front of the car is massive.

Here's my car when I first got it:

Here it is a couple of weeks ago:

I've got an AP Coilover kit and dave's tie arms sat here waiting to get put on as well.
Good luck with it mate, like I said it's relatively straightforward. I used a dremel to cut the metal out of the wings.

They do look smarter by far, went to u pull it an if they'd of had some in they are charging £12.50 plus vat each lol shame they only had 6 audis in total an 4 A3's same as what already got but I'll keep an eye out as they ain't cheap on eBay!

Got a starter motor for £12.50 tho bargain,an would've had the blue checkered interior if it'd been covered an not damaged by the weather gutted prob would've cost £40 unlike scrappers near me wanting £80 for jus the seats!!!
