oil drain plug problem!!

hello
yesterday i removed the drain plug to drain the oil, after i removed it its came out with a spring that hold it in place
now i cant screw the plug because the spring not there.
what can i do ????

Thats not a spring... its the thread... you need to buy a new sump dude... sorry

Euro Car Parts sell them and they start at about £70 if that helps mate.
 
I would bet its a helicoil...

So totally ******** then lol... helicoils are good for some stuff... I wouldn't use them on a sump though personally... everyone I have seen that has had it done leaks...

Good idea to replace oil pickup pipe while the sump is dropped, about £12 for pipe and o-ring

i cannot find pickup pipe in ebay, its give me the all set include the oil pump.
so i think i just give it a clean with carb cleaner :(

Volksbits do sumps mega cheap mate look on eBay

yeah i see its 40 pounds nice :)
