Hi guys,

I used to own a b6 convertible, which I sold as I was doing far to many miles. I have been driving a skoda Fabia Vrs the last 18 months, I now live within walking distance of where I work. Today I picked up an Audi A4 B7 SE S Line 2L TFSI Quattro.

One owner. Full service 80k miles.

Feels a little down on power and the temp gauge isn't reaching 90. Thinking of buying a new DV and a thermostat.

Nice motor mate! Looks like you have already bought what you require to (hopefully) sort the problems. The diverter is the most probably loss of power. Just make sure you buy the rev d as the standard one is a waste of time. I did the thermostat on mine last week. Was a bit of a **** but sorted the problem of not getting to full temp. Hope you sort it! Look forward to seeing your personal additions :)

Just realised you said your thinking of buying... Not already bought lol! Definitely buy the Rev D version of the standard diverter. Do a quick search on the forum for the part number. It's a nice easy fix and will solve most of your power loss issues

Thanks for the warm welcome. Craig, you don't have a link to the revised Dv do you?

Will be looking through your build thread for inspiration.

Well I've had the car two days and done a mix of A road and B road driving.

I must say I am really disappointed with the power. No power until at least 2.5k revs and nothing at all in any gear above 3rd?! As said above I hope that it's the diverted valve...

I also notice when when stationary revving the engine slightly there is a strange noise when the revs drop? Like a metal noise.

(Quiet cry for help)
