Fitting Hybrid

I'm gona be fitting a hybrid to my car in the next couple of weeks it's a 1.9tdi while I'm on I'll be changing oil and filter. Am I ok to use standard oil or is it ideal time to put something different in . Thanks

Depends if the term standard means Audi LongLife servicing haha (in which case stay clear of standard oil!), oil's surely the same regardless of turbo in which case any of these will do fine VW - Engine Oil - 507.00 - VW 507.00 motor oil.

You will need a map with the n75 duty cycle modified as the hybrid will make boost in a different way to a standard turbo. It might be ok as it is as the changes are not major...

Thanks Adamss24 it's the first port of call once all is fitted and running ok I'm trying to find someone locally to me who is good with diesel mapping.

I havn t yet fitted will be in the next couple of weeks just sourcing the turbo oil feed pipe and gaskets. I was thinking on emailing black smoke to see if he could just do me a temporary map or see why he recommends.

I'm in Durham and that's the oil feed pipe I'm getting thanks. It's all coming together now just to find the time between me and my brother fitting me in his work to bolt it up .

I know the braided oil feed pipe can be a longer length but is there any other advantage with it?

It just says the fittings are more robust something about the ones on the car from factory are prone to been a pita when fitting.

No advantages whatsoever, they only good when fitting larger/hybrid turbo's as the factory oil feed pipe will not be in the same place on a different turbo... The braided hoses also need careful tying and routing to stop them from chaffing onto sharp parts !
