Replaced the pump tonight and now it can be heard working and the washers pop out of the bumper, yet nothing comes out of either.

I've had mega issues with my rear washer and the pump was running and no leaks anywhere.....but no water coming out the jet!! The cause was a faulty jet. Yes, it was brand new out the repair kit but took a lot of poking and fiddling before water started to spurt out of it with decent pressure instead of just a trickle. Check that there's no kinks in the pipe work, the washers are not blocked up with crap or misaligned. If you can, can you get the water to come out of the washers before everything is assembled together so you can sort of see what's happening as you operate the pump?

What's the best way of unblocking them? I don't want to risk damage. I suppose I'm going to have to mess about getting the ****** covers unclipped again! 
If the pipes, rather than the nozzles, were blocked though, wouldn't that stop them popping up completely?
