I did seriously consider changing my order from Phantom to Panther but having seen one in real life wasn't that impressed. Sticking with Phantom.
Panther looks great when absolutely spotless under A1 photographic conditions but in real life (for the benefit of my stalker on here IMHO) it looks rather dull and browny..
Our 8P Black edition was all black but rather than paying hundreds extra am sticking with Phantom and Alu bars + privacy which whilst fairly discreet I reckon looks pretty good.
I heard last week it was on board ship. I believe it arrived at Grimsby on the Schelde Highway last Friday morning. No confirmation from Dealer yet about arrival! Where are you?
PS > I think mine actually was built week 3 in the end!

I can now say that audi have finally repaired my car, it was in fact the front right bearing that they had failed to change the first time i went there... Even though they had told me they changed it. My s3 alloy was also bent and caused huge vibrations to the steering and pedals so that was also changed.
Around 600 eur for a new s3 alloy and bearing cost was under guarantee cause they messed up.
My car drives like it used to and I'm a happy man.
i just drove it like i stole it to fetch wifey from airport and it goes like a bullet!!! Even ****** airport taxis got out of my way :/. It's a truelly fast car.

I'm in Chelmsford, Essex so assume Sheerness although might come into Grimsby I suppose
I've been confirmed as build week 5 for some time, might have changed but difficult getting info out of my dealer sometimes (I asked yesterday and email was read but no reply which seems standard) - The guy who I dealt with for years left last year - He would always update me with this kind of info
Build week 4 last info too, just had call from dealer arrives with them tomorrow, Thursday, it can be ready Friday if I want.
Can I wait till 1 March, possibly as it will now take me a little while to sort cash etc.
But hey Alleluia, it's here, I only ordered it on 24 June!

Looks like the same colour of crystal meth they cook in Breaking Bad!!
Riviera blue is the colour, i think you would have to be on meth to order it..
It does kind of look smart but couldnt live with that colour,it would certainly be a brave choice..
Ive not seen one in sepang blue yet,now that is a stunning colour.

That's riviera blue, I've ordered that on my s3 sedan.
I love how the colour polarises people's opinions. It's either love or hate.
P.s the wheels suck!
Dan that looks real good mate, think the grey with the black pack and black rails are a good combo that ive not seen before!!
I may just start a thread on dealers to avoid once I get my hands on the keys!
Just to clarify, it's not mine! I do have a monsoon grey sportback on order, but without the black pack. Arrives in March. But definitely like the car pictured, although needs black or body coloured mirrors to complete the look for me.
Both beautiful cars to me. I prefer the riviera blue but would probably buy the grey because I'm a whimp like that. I really like the black on grey effect and agree that the blue diffuser looks wired, black would look better maybe.
I wouldn't necessarily mind it so much if the diffuser wasn't painted, i.e. left black. But it does look a little too Volvo Polestar!
Yeah. I'm hoping my diffuser isn't painted. If it is, I'll have to get it repainted!

1. A road test of the new Golf R Manual, with the same underpinnings as our S3's. (Page 28)
Good refinement, a stonking engine and secure but engaging handling.
Plus points - Usable and well mannered, great all weather traction, stealthy Q car styling
No Good - handling could be sharper and more communicative, not quite as quick as some..
2. Page 22 - Golf R Evo.. with circa 370 bhp from same engine (Fritz Eichler ex Porsche man who was behind the M-B A45 AMG)
Just having to be patient for 1 March.. less than 715 hours to go !!

I almost ordered my Sportback in Riviera blue (with chrome not black) but decided against it in the end. Not being able to see a car in that colour in the metal and also I dont think I'd have been able to live with it day to day. I still love the colour, but I just couldnt imagine the missus leaving it in tesco car park or parking it outside the school. My thoughts were it was alittle too extreme for day to day - ok for a shiney weekend car - all polished up, but our S3 is going to be a daily.
You could switch the comments for the Golf R with the S3.
They sound very similar in characteristics.
S3 looks far better though IMO.

Its such a long time since I've driven an S3 8V I can't remember (it was October when I ordered my car and not driven one since!)

I only think of one thing when I hear riviera blue. See below!
It's a nice colour don't get me wrong. But no way I could live with it say day to day. It's one of those "I like extremes and get bored easily" colours I reckon. Something to vinyl wrap your car in as opposed to paint it.

So, an unexpected call yesterday afternoon and some quick work from Salisbury Audi today meant that I bought my new S3 home tonight....a quick photo below;
