Hello

Just been down the local retail park , sitting in my car and a woman has walked down the side of my car and scratched it with her hand bag buckle, I got out and said to her that you've just scratched my car and she said there's no way I've done that when blatantly she had, then she said well what can I do about it and turned on the water works and told me she's pregnant bla bla bla , now I'm only keeping calm because she a woman , pregnant and plus my little girl was in the car though asleep.

she then does her window up and goes to reverse and my foot was inches from being run over., I'd say an inch .

What else could I have done in that situation cause I tell you now if it was a bloke and he tried driving off, my nut would of went instantly and I would of pulled him out the car and had it with him.

The scratch won't polish out with t cut, but it's not gone back that deep so that the scratch appears white if that makes sense? My car is grey and the scratch is still showing grey paint behind it.

Any tips on what else I could try?

Cheers

Take her number, get her address and knock on her door. If no joy send her a biil and bailiffs .....

She wouldn't have none of it, got hysterical and then nearly run my foot over whilst driving away. haaah unfrikinbelievable.

She has to be local so if and when I see her and I'm by myself I will follow her home and see the her old man myself.

Did you get reg plate down by any chance, take it to the police station and ask them to follow up

Yea but to be honest id rather the police not be notified, they won't do anything that will help the situation , I had a guy do a hit and run on me when it was snowing and I was following him for around 25 mins in my area whilst on the phone to the police and in all that time they still never managed to get to me in time , officer on the phone said they are really busy, I said its funny that cause I've just seen about 15 officers in KFC with there meat wagons parked outside , and car with a copper sitting in it doing nothing so I sorted that one out myself in the end.

Cheers

if you have the reg, you can write to the dvla and I think it costs like £2.50. but if you give them a reason like I need there address so I can send them a receipt or some other crap they could give you it...

Then write a nice letter to them telling them that you would like the money for the panel to be painted otherwise your ordering pizza's and taxis everynight to their house.

Same thing happened to me I parked my car up, was getting my stuff out the boot and some old timer in his 70s waled past my drivers door with his golf club trolley and took a massive gauge out of my door down to the primer, when I confronted him about it he called me a liar and I should be ashamed accusing a senior citizen of being so careless, then he drove off in his Porsche 911 turbo, took his reg and called the police, and they said nothing I can do unless there is a camera or witness as anybody can accuse somebody of something they didn't do, so yeah not much help there so had to get it repaired which I still haven't had done yet as it's like 300 pounds to get the door done :/

i would of key'd her car and then said....their, were even now.

theres nothing you can do really
no whitness no claim
you could try a county court claim but i think that would be a waste of time and money

last month my mates next door neighbour keyed my door. She has a massive file at the local police station but they can't prove its her.
cost me £100 for a guy to come to the house and spray it. company called auto scratch and you get a 2 year guarantee, top job from them.

Yeah It will be a waste of time and money for sure.

No witness apart from my daughter but they won't have that anyway, it's obvious my daughter would back me up

Cheers

Don't it's well annoying, my old x5 was keyed from front to back and deep, and they also done the car in front of mine, I don't get it.

Where are they based?

I want to see if I can get some tips on whether there's something I can try like some hard compound or something as the colour is still there and hasn't got all the way through but as I said T Cut didn't really touch it at all

maybe pay someone to give it a good go over with a machine polisher ?
Think they will go anywhere mate, you can just text them a picture and they message you back with a quote.

Makes you laugh that they really think that your trying on with them .

Yeah no point at all going to the police , I'm not overly bothered about the scratch , it's just the way she dealt with it and the fact that she's got away with it, for now .

Ok mate cheers I'll see what happens, I'll prob go to the body shop and sort him a drink and see if he can improve it If I can't sort it myself, I'm not to bothered about the scratch it's self but if it can be taken out then I'll just do that .
