Interior LED pack for 8L S3/A3

I just fitted my pack which arrived from EM Tuning today - big thanks to Trups. What a difference these lights make. The light is much whiter and crisper. Hopefully being LED should last longer too. Cheers also to Tufty for the initial thread.

Just an add on to what has been posted here and my opinion on trying to match colours up.

Trup has the Cree side lights which are very bright but importantly have a bluish tinge. This made my oem 4300k xenons look very yellow almost like halogens. So I up graded to 6000k (after much messing around and trial and error) and this gave it a brilliant white light with a minimal hint of blue. I wouldn't suggest 8000k as the lumens drop drastically and the amount of usable light is hence much less.

Next the fog lights were upgraded to LEDs which are nice and white. The Lens cleaning thread would apply to these as well if you want a clean look. This LED cluster in the fogs matches up very nicely with 5000-6000k. If you want to keep a 4300k oem look I'd suggest going with the ice white halogens for fog lights as they will match up better for colour (again Trups can supply).

The picture is poor but this is mine with Cree side light, 6000k xenon, LED cluster in fogs. NOTE: the colour is very yellow in the pic for some reason but I can assure you it is very white and matches perfectly with the 6000k xenon. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1388002771355854

NOTE: if you change fog lights out for LEDs then they obviously won't serve any purpose in the fog, so I use them as DRLs/dusk sometimes. Looks good though ;)

Overall modernises an ageing car. I would like to thank Trups for his service and outstanding communication and support.

I just ordered the full interior and exterior bulb kit for my 2002 S3.
Will let you know hoe i get on and hopefully have some before and after pictures.

Hi people! Sorry to revive such an old thread, but... how did you guys install these lights? I tried to open up the dome with a thin screwdriver, but it almost left a mark on the roof's upholstery.

Just seen this thread....may look into getting a set of these in next few days! Nice-one,they look like they make a nice subtle difference!

Does this beatiful kit available nowdays yet? If yes, when can I buy it? Thank you.
