hello all!, Names Nick, im 21 and from Yeovil, Somerset,i thought i'd show myself after being here for a while!
This is my 13th car since i've passed back in 2010, Starting with a Mk1 Punto i feel i've not done too bad now!
The previous vehicle to the A3 was a 96 Golf TDI
It was amazing, but had 197,000 miles, starting to get rotten underneath and i fancied a change, so i advertised it and got offered a swap for a "burgandy" Audi A3, had a months tax and mot, abit of a gamble i know but whats more likely to pass an MOT?
so i said yes!, Next day (03/12/13) i went to view it and the deal was made!
Picked her up from Taunton and had a lovely drive home.... Previous owner said, the ignition needs replacing as it messes with the electrics so on the way home, we had no lights/indicators/heating or wipers
and then the gear linkage popped off, an hour or so later driving everywhere in 4th, we made it home!
So here's a little spec
1997 Audi A3 1.6
93,000 Miles
3dr, standard
Cream/grey whatever colour it is interior
a little battered but no problem
First things were, clean, tax and mot!
Passed with two advisories, both rear springs rusty and front n/s disk pitted
First mod, debadge
wax and polish the thing!
Fitted a new headunit and got myself the adapter for the OEM Subwoofer and rear speakers, no pics needed really
Due to doing alot of driving, i felt the seats were not very supportive, so i replaced the front seats with some from a Y reg facelift 1.8
alot nicer!
which brings upto today.......
STILL STANDARD!
My plans are pretty simple....
Lows, Wheels, better interior, New front bumper, lights and L.E.D upgrade for interior
Before i leave you all with this average post, this also was included in the folder of paperwork, circa 2001-01
