A3 turbo fitting GT3071R...

You have a huge amount of work to do to get something like that fitted and reliability of that turbo would be very uncertain because of it's price. For a start you will need rods and everything else for a bottom end rebuild, also possibly some head work done while at it. You will need a custom made manifold and inlet, larger injectors, custom intake would be advisable and of course good fmic. Lots and lots to think about! Don't forget a custom map, better brakes etc.... Too.

i am planning to run low boost like 300HP
i dont think i need injectors and bigger inlet for this

Injectors will be needed for sure, your standard ones won't have much of a chance at all, you will be lucky if you fuel pump will be able to keep up if it has not been replaced.

I see what your trying to do by seeing a cheap copy GT turbo on eBay and think thats a bargain

As s3Dave there are better ways too get 300bhp and as badger5 said do your research

If you want 300bhp, get H section Steel rods, badger 5 manifold, Beach Buggy Turbo, exhaust, Intercooler, air filter with badger 5 tip, and a remap

mid 300bhp available from k04 hybrids now... and even higher with correct mods..

but....... research.

define your budget
confirm what mods you currently have
is this diy or pay someone to do this..

it will cost more than you think

its a diy
i thinking about k03 hybrid
S3 MAF
S3 Injectors
Forge 007P DV
cold air induction
3" DP (already have cat back and decat)
and remap
what do you think?

That will probably get you 250-270ish and 300lb-ft + torque and then you will still need to be considering rods.

why rods needed?
i have a friend with seat leon with 450HP with stock engine!
he told me the rods can handle it.

Is your mates a 2.0tfsi? Because that's about the limit of stock rods and pistons in one of those.

Dunno how many people you want to say this, do some research.
or it will go wrong

intercooling?
s3 injectors would need 4bar fpr to make 300bhp of fueling
80mm TIP also

You forgot fuel pump, new clutch and racing stripes :)

also why do you want a gt30 and only want 300bhp? You will be waiting for the turbo to spool then not much excitement. K04 hybrids would leave you looking for parking and then they would go around saying they WHIPPED a gt30, and that's just not right :)

i don't want alot of power because i am running LPG on the car
so i cant go nuts with LPG because its support up to 170HP.
so when i want to go nuts i move to petrol and fuel 98 Octane and pump the gas :) :) :)
my budget is limited for the project so i don't want to do the rods.

hes have 1.8T its 2003 Leon

He is misguided then and He won't have a 450hp engine for long, unless in the lower rpm range he runs sod all boost/torque. The rods in the 1.8T 20v have been documented to bend at merely Stage 1 K04 power.

As Bill said, standard S3 injectors running standard 3BAR fuel pressure won't hit 300hp. So a 4BAR fuel pressure regulator will be needed, this then throws into question the health of the fuel pump which will undoubtedly be put under a lot more load running 4BAR and may not be able to keep fueling in check.

The BeachBuggy turbo's K300 seems to fit you're goals and will see you at 300hp (with supporting mods). Your standard K03 manifold (assuming it is crack free) can be ported to increase flow, Badger5 is well regarded at this. Oil and water lines can be re-used (with new gaskets of course).

A bigger free flowing intercooler is highly recommended to keep intake air temperatures sensible. The Toyosports Type B (or "Wellycooler" as it's known around here), which measures 600x300x76mm, will be more than up to the job and is cheap too. (~£89).

I'm assuming from you using an S3 MAF you have a wideband ecu? (AUM/AUQ). If you have an AGU then you will need to get your hands on a VR6 MAF housing as the S3 housing/sensor isn't compatible with the AGU.

yeah i have AGU
my fuel pump is new by the way.
can i achieve 260hp with k03s turbo (not hybrid)?

Whilst ~270hp, if you believe what the internet says, is achievable with a K03S, though you would need everything to be in perfect health and every bolt on mod available (WMI/big intercooler/big bore TIP/Big bore downpipe etc etc).

You would be giving the turbo absolute death and running it at it's maximum and I wouldn't expect it to last very long. A K300 will be able to run 270hp at less boost/stress than a standard K03S and would be the much more reliable option.

The **** is wrong with this place these days.

Can we have some sort of IQ test instead of a Captcha image upon forum registration?

He's telling you the biggest lies in the world that he's running standard engine and 450 bhp

What turbo is he running then

If you belie ATP's marketing a bone stock AEB with a gt3071r can make 420awhp and run 11.98 in the quarter mile......

This is from 2004 mate a bit old and the engine made no torque below 4000... Not the best conversion in my eye as on the road we want torque and power to enjoy it for say to day driving

well i decided to buy the K03 hybrid :)
i hope to see good gains from my setup.
my goal is 280HP

i have one question for the turbo
does the K03 hybrid is bolt on K03?
what should i replace in the setup (its a diy)

my mods are:
K03 hybrid
3" DP and cat back
S3 Injectors
S3 Maf
pipercross air filter
4Bar FPR (dont sure if i have to upgrade this)
forge silicone TIP
and final Revo stage 2 remap :)
what your opinion?

Custom map dude, either badger 5 or rtech, revo won't do diddly squat for what you want. There's no off the shelf map for a hybrid as every set up is individual
