My God!

Car made 384hp and 450Nm torque! I know its an expensive system but its plug and play, totally reversible without leaving any trace or fault codes on the ECU. Car put out 302.2hp standard but I think these figures depend on the rollers tbh!

Anyhow, with ~270bhp/ Tonne its transformed the car, really impressed!

Gone hunting!

Nice! any pics of it in under the bonnet? How much roughly did you pay?

Yeah some details / links would be helpful, was there any additional hardware required rather than an ECU tune?

I googled it seems it's available online for €1800! Not cheap then!

QST Kim Collins in Haywards Heath are uk agent for MTM! I fitted the part myself and had the car rolling roaded ladt Friday and again today!

its an easy install, remove the shear head bolts off existing ECU cage. Remove cage, plug loom plug into new ecu, then tail frim new ecu back into cars Ecu. job done. cage doesnt go back on though but i just left mine off. Also, you will need new shear bolt heads tonremove and relace cage for dealer visits. I'm working on the part numbers now as my close mate is a service manager at An Audi dealer but even he reckons the warranty guys can be zeolots!

it is relatively expensive but for the gains and assurance of an MTM product and worries iver warranty issues, id buy it again! Its makes me giggle every time, it feels seriously quick. minor note, inthink ou can only run super unleaded?!? can be tricky finding a garage sometimes as i often play running out roulette and see a range if zero way too often :-/

Easy to fit? I'm quite handy with a spanner rebuilt my track car (205 gti) or most of it numerous times but electronics.....on a £37,000 car......no thanks ha. Sounds a good piece of kit though

fitting is free if you live in that hemisphere lol! not so free with £150 of super each way lol

update after a few days driving with the MTM M-Cantronic upgrade!

firstly the quality of the loom, plugs and fittings is as factory. Bosch connectors and thenloom is manufactured by the same people who make the OEM looms!

the car is so, so quick up through the rev range. It all still feels factory-esque but just massively enhanced! mine is manual but with a optimum upshift, the exhauset pops and sounds awesome! its all plug and play, only PITA is removing thr shear head bolts from the factory anti-tamper ecu cage which id reccomend centre popping and drilling the heads off with a 6mm drill bit! they are alloy so come away easily.

I tried mole grips at first but i slipped and scratched then cage so cant really put it back on if needed. anyhow a new one was only £21 from dealer which a kind friend ordered and secured for me!

all in all, as this sytem communicates with the origional ECU and car systems its essentially a really neat and safe solution to piggy back mapping as all of the sensors are still in play and therefore safeguards the failsafe features of the engine management but does not register or show tamper codes! this is my wifes car, but i find myself nicking it everyday, its way more fun than our 997C2S but it eas a close run thing before the power hike! Now its so sneaky yet brutally quick, its just a hoot!!!

I personally think the quality of hardware, prestige, history and reputation of MTM and the amount of develeopment r&d thats gone into this product justifies the £1550. if you see the kit in the flesh, you will also appreciate the quality components! also i have to say QST Kim Collins et al have been fantastic in terms of customer support and service! thouroughly reccomended!

An 84bhp hike sounds like a lot without a full turbo back exhaust and stage 2 software. It must be massively over fuelling the car. Doesn't sound that safe for the engine to me.

I wouldnt read too much into numbers as there always seems to be some massaging amd corrections of figures im yet to understand!

it feels super smooth and not getting any derogatory effect, no pinkimg, runs good economy when not caning it which is s hard task as its so infectious! :)

Sounds good, it'll have a lot of midrange pull with that amount of torque. How many miles has it done?
I had a Shark development box on mine for a bit which made an extra 50bhp and 460Nm torque, going for a full Milltek soon then I'll get the tuning box back on. It'll be ridiculous then.

Any pics of the installation?
Does it look nice and neat?
Done any launches if so what times are you getting?

Any more feedback you can give on this? Cheers

Did you manage to buy new security bolts? You got the part number?

Car hasn't gone to Milltek yet, it will be in the next couple of weeks after it's been back to Audi next week to have a couple of things sorted.
The tuning box is really good, I only had a development version on my car but the extra power and more importantly torque was epic. It was stupidly fast. I'd guess low to mid 4's to 60 but I'm not bothered about that, midrange pull is the most important thing. 460Nm of torque is a hell of a lot in something that weighs sub 1400kg.
Don't know what people are waiting for, get one! It's good because it's plug in, so no main dealer issues when and if you take it back! None of this 'TD1' (which is a made up code) mallarky.

Top work! No problem in getting the dealer to supply them? Was thinking the bolts might not be available to the public?

I'm really really tempted by this!!

Sounds fantastic, but I'd be worried about short and long term reliability issues. But that's just me.

No problem with the dealer, my mate ordered them with the numbers, paid on his card and i gave him the cash. Didnt want it tied to my name or car registration ;-)

Its a really good system so far, but the car is an animal! It doesnt give full boost/revs till oil temp is up and above 85 degC too! If you rev to just short of limiter and lift off - exhaust pops! Sad that i love that but reminds me of the old rally cars haha!

Oh, and system removes ~155mph speed limiter too!

@Steeve, MTM supply a full warrant for engine and transmission for ~£150/ year if you're worried? Im not!
