I'm just trying to picture how this went Craig...
Her: "what's that under your arm?"
You: "hybrid turbo"
Her: "I hope it wasn't expensive"
You: "Was nearly £50 :ermm: "
Her: "Really?!"
You: "Let's get a puppy."

:)

Might be interested in a deal on the grille and fog surrounds if they are all still available..... know someone above mentioned interest in the surrounds though.

Speaking of mods mate, one of the technicians at work has a set of Eibach lowering springs 50mm I think he said. He's wanting £150 for them. Got a couple of chips on the springs but other than that he said they have plenty of life in them. Came off a 1 year old A4 B8 originally

I'm surprised how good the B8 really is tbh Scotty, internally Audi have moved forward a fair bit and definately maintained the quality. Luckily this one is a high spec, although as usual nearly everything is an optional extra, so it doesn't have vanity mirror, puddle or footwell lights ???, so that's another upgrade/mod to be done lol.

A lot to find out about this model, as it is very different to the B7, externally it seems very much a bigger motor, nice lines compliment the overall look, headlights are great with adaptive xenons and drl's that really do go well with the lines and overall shape. However rear lights are not LED? (another mod). 19" wheels really work well, I did think that I may have to put in on 18's as I expected the ride to be much like the B7 on 19's - a wee bit harsher, but no they actually are a better ride.

The engine, 2.0 Tfsi 211bhp has surprised me, power delivery is very smooth, responsive even in the higher gear range, (had a bit of fun in it lol).
Holds the road really well for a fwd, although it will definately need the RS4 RARB upgrade, I think it would benefit from a gentle remap just to even out power delivery through 1st & 2nd, and maybe around 250bhp.

Just covered 1445 miles--
700 (1 trip) miles of which - 75% motorway/25% town (80miles of ave speed cams 30/40mph) driving between 70-80mph with a few blips of fun but no real hard throttle returned 38.77mph.
300 miles of fun, driven through it's full gear range at varying speeds returned 32.41mph
445 (55 litres) miles out of a full tank, everyday driving 70% motorway/A roads - 30% town, not heavy footed, but a few wee moments of fun

So overall I am over the moon with and looking forward to modding it
