Can anyone help...I'm trying to negotiate for an S3 and thought I was getting somewhere, I got offered circa 8% off. Then came the finance quote, they'd quoted 15.5% APR, grossing £13K in interest. I almost fell off my chair and to be honest I've had with them, I'll try elsewhere..

A. Can someone confirm you can have the 6.7% advertised rate on an S3

and

B. Can anyone recommend a dealer/Salesman willing to do a deal at 8% plus without lots of BS/Waffle/Lies, it just tires me.

You're right to fall off the chair, 15% is pi.. take some dealer's are just greedy:gun2:

Try brokers like drive deal, carwow, orange wheel, try your bank for a loan.

Good luck.

Try drivethedeal.co.uk, they are putting people in touch with Kings Lynn Audi and they were doing what ever the Audi finance deal is currently. 8% discounts are around - I got 5% but had a trade in and wanted to deal through a local dealer.

I'm the same. I will have a trade-in and again would much rather deal with my local dealer who I have been dealing with for the last 16 years than scour the country to save 1% extra. My dealer is offering me 7%.

He did give me a PCP quote last week from Audi finance and the rate was 6.6% but I will probably be buying cash.

Same here. I managed 8.3% off of the otr and a quote of 6.9% apr if I take their finance. Just negotiating the trade in for my S4 so far this is also at the top end of the range compared with CAP etc. will be my third car in 6 years from the same dealer. Didn't even consider going anywhere else to be honest.

That's very good....where is it?

I'm buying from Maidstone Audi. I placed my order back in September and will hopefully take delivery on 1 March. At the time there was a lot of feedback on the forum re discounts which helped.

Audi Solutions are offering PCP finance at 6.8% APR Representative over 18-48 months with a minimum deposit equivalent to one monthly payment.

Offer valid until 31 March 2014. Your local dealer may be able to reduce this slightly (e.g.: by 0.4%)

edit: Chizzy, whereabouts in the Midlands are you?

Doesn't the rate you recieve depend on your credit score.

I ordered a saloon s3 a few weeks back, a couple of days before I had been negotiating on an s3 sportback (long story as to the change of heart!). When I was negotiating for the sportback I was initially offered £1100 off and with a£5k deposit over 36 months I would have been paying £650 per month. I nearly fell off my chair laughing at them at that point. Within about 20 mins I took the APR down to 6.2%, increased the dealer contribution to £2k and got the monthly terms at £450. If I was going to go with the sportback I wouldn't have stopped there. In the end I fit a saloon from a different dealer as I never felt that particularly dealer wanted to sell me a car and keep my business longer term. I got a discount of £2.5k in the end and got an APR of 6.4%. I felt I pushed them as low as they were possibly going to go. My advice is to look on drive the deal like others have said but also look at carwow. It works I a very similar way and they will put you in touch directly with lots of dealers who will offer you various rates. It's a good way to know what you can get and then go back to your local dealer to help you barter with.

Based in Staffs myself..

....Cheers for the advice to date

You should defiantly try King's Lynn Audi. They do good deals, I'm on the A3 now after trading in the A1 there. Both times a got really good deal! I would recommend speaking to ether James, Daniel or Fraser.

They were no good when I tried them!

Getting a good deal is what it's about & good service. I got 50% more discount locally than KL offered back in September. Over £1100 more!

Yes but who wants to drive to Bristol :) only joking!!!

Out of interest, I have just emailed Kings Lynn with my spec and asked them for a price. Perhaps I should email Bristol Audi as well.

Email is not the best way unless you call first! Try Alan Macghee or Mark Paddon. Tell them one of their best customers recommended you!

I got 3.9% APR on my last PCP with Audi. 6.8% on the car before that. I don't expect miracles, but if the deal doesn't smell good to me, I walk out of the showroom - highly amusing seeing the reaction you get when you do that. They soon ring you up with a better deal.

Will they know you as "PilotAudi"

 I had a vision of you walking into the dealership saying.

"My mate PilotAudi said you'd give me a good deal," - can you imagine the look you'd get.

I'm in the process of ordering another S3 Sportback mate. :D

Very nice.
Almost nearly did the same.

Was really impressed with the test drive, I think the new S3 is a great piece of kit, but the dealers just wouldnt play ball.
Monthly payments were bonkers and even after ringing around I couldnt get what I wanted for less than £700pcm !

This was in Oct 13 and so maybe things have changed?

Anyhoo, it all worked out in the end having chose something from the `other` brand instead and being well chuffed with it.

Keep me posted, catch up with the lads and their new wheels is due:happy:
