Hi guys

Just had some questions which need answering. First off is it possible to place exhaust tips on my A4 since the way they angle downwards? Are they known as drop-down? If so any recommendations? Just want something nice looking.

Secondly the headlights on the car are very dull. Last night I was driving down a country lane with no street lights and its very hard to see ahead. It's very bad that I even have to use the fog-lights and drive much cautious. Down lit roads its fine but they don't emit much light down the road.

I'm thinking that it has poor bulbs and I've been looking around to replace them. Would the Philips X-treme Vision be a good replacement?

Lastly don't suppose anyone is selling S4 door blades in Miro blue?

Ive noticed the same thing with the headlights, I tried halfords ultra brill and whatever audi fitted when they changed them on the last service, no better though

Think they're halogens like mine

To be honest there's no real way of making the exhaust look pretty without swapping it out and changing the valance. Would say go HID with the headlights, have had Philips and Orsam and from experience they give more of a placebo effect.

A4 lights are shocking. Mine were the same couldnt see a thing on country roads etc. Fitted some HIDs - all sorted now I can see!

Is there a way of getting to the inside of of the headlight, my drivers side one is clouded up from a bulb that started smoking?

On that note, if the lens isn't nice and clean or if it's badly scratched that would affect the brightness too, can't tell from your pic really but they look fairly good

Just taken some pictures. I think they are halogen. I hadn't noticed how bad the left cover is in terms of being misted. Don't think it will be dirt affecting them since I had the problem when the cash was washed.

Get some HIDs ordered. They'll go in the middle projector lamp. That'll sort out your poor light issue.

Take out all the electronics inside the headlight.. Then pour distilled water inside and swirl it around.. Eventually start with some soap in it, and finish with pure distilled water

That would be something I want to do. TBH the whole look of your car is what I would like but I expect it would cost a bit.

At the moment this is my rear.

Got an s-line rear valance up for grabs if yours is a saloon, currently brilliant black though so may want to spray.

Got any pics? I have been thinking of getting the bottom all painted to blend with the rest but I need to work out how much it will cost for the valances and the paint work.

Just how I want my whole car to look. Is the valance a single opening on the left or does it have a second on the right?

Anyone from UK fitted these? I'm also after a "better lights" solution - I've currently got some 120% bulbs in which help, but still not great on dipped beam. Mike.

Would you even get that much better light output than fitting a normal HID kit for all the extra work it takes to fit? I haven't looked, but I would imagine it probably costs twice as much too?

Yeah they are more expensive but I fitted my hids earlier in the week and the improvement over ghe Phillips extremes I had in is quite significant and its really only a couple of hours to fit if you're reasonably handy and have the tools.

I wouldn't fit a HID kit to a projector that isn't a HID projector..
I think the complete kit for this headlight at retrofitlab.com is about/max 200€~150£

(Apologies to the OP for hijacking your thread!)

200 euro or £165 ish (and P&P on top) - which includes a full set of bulbs - and new projectors, all wiring, ballasts etc. I guess that as the original projects are (a) crap and (b) will probably be getting a bit tired anyway, the replacement projectors may be part of the solution.

I'm a little wary of the HID option I suppose, based on the comments about dash warnings etc and the variety of solutions ranging from the elegant to the very much less elegant!

I wouldn't fit a HID kit to a projector that isn't a HID projector..

I was wondering about this too. Why would this be a problem? Different design criteria I'm guessing?

Mike

Convincing argument. Which confirms my suspicions that it's not really just as simple as dropping a HID system in to the car. Thanks.

Neither haha Mike.M cut his on the left but it's the exact same bumper, if your interested drop us a pm anyway, not in any rush to sell as they go pretty easy.

Just another question guys. Does anyone know if you can fit B7 chin spoilers to a B6? Audi A4 B7 Avant,Salon 04-08 Front Bumper Spoiler, tuning | eBay

I would love to have this below but the B6 parts have been discontinued and I'm having a hard time finding any used for sale.

If anyone is selling please get in touch! Don't care what colour since I'm having the valances sprayed anyway.

Would you mind taking another picture which is light? Hard to judge its look by the photo.
