Update on Estoril.
So just spoken again to Cambridge Audi, and they reinterated that they had been told by Audi UK that Estoril, as a colour, was being discontinued, and wasn't just S3 Saloons. I asked what had happened to the guy who ordered an Estoril S3 Hatch the same day as me, and he said that his was OK, because, as it was a hatch it had gone through quicker and missed the deadline. I asked about Sepang, which he said was also going. I pushed on getting an Exclusive blue replacement, but he wasn't for giving it for free, and mentioned that regardless it would mean a late Q3 2014 delivery, which I just couldn't bear.
End result for me is a switch to Panther Black. Having done a fair bit or research, I do think the black looks lovely on an S3 and I like the crystal purple effect on the Panther making it more interesting and special. Yes, I'm a bit gutted at the lack of Estoril, but its not the end of the world, as I actually don't think there is a 'bad' colour option, and whilst Estoril originally pipped it for me, there wasn't much in it. I'll just have to learn to keep it nice and clean, but I actually do like a bit of car cleaning
I've asked the dealer to keep me in the loop for a replacement for Estoril if one comes through to consider if it does and there is still time shoudl I want to change the order again.
So for those with Estoril, I don't know what to say. If he's right, then if you have one on a long lead-time like mine, you might be getting a phone call soon too, but if its earlier should be fine?
