Tfsi turbo on a s3/TT ?

haha what size DP did you get on there bud? i managed a 3" on hamidis bora 4mo i fitted a tfsi motor to, but is was very tight

3" more than enough room around the prop shaft.. Was tight on one of the studs to turbo but easily enough to fit and do up.. I think a 3.5" -3" could be made up if needed...

i think i had 5mm between bulk head / prop donut and subframe

holy hell, i'd like to see pics of that - must have been tight to say the least

stock engine mounts?

Is hamidis Bora up and running yet Olly? that's not the blue one that was at Rtech is it?

Any issues with the DP heat and those gear shift cables so far?

yes bud it's up and running - made 361bhp at the hands of Niki but qpengs lpfp 'workaround' is shocking so was limited by that.

will be sorting a better solution when the weather picks up

the Dp is wrapped but i'm sure i 'manipulated the tunnel heat sheild to hold them towards the passenger side and no issues so far. :)

it was the black one btw

Well here it is..

Bad idle was totally my fault.. I received the wrong size pipe work for the DV, so I blocked the inlet to the TIP and left the DV venting to air! ...mmmmm that was the problem... So it idles perfectly now..

Dp still knocks.. So larger dent needs to be purchased ;-) or subframe needs grinding back.. I think it'll be easier on a ramp..

I've got a DIY large inlet to go on once it's been run in and some data has been been gotten on the stock manifold.

and all the nuts from the strut brace are safely stored somewhere.. And will remain there , where ever that is!

Much like most people......I am very looking forward to seeing this develop.
Will have a freshly built Agu next year awaiting a bbt TFSI setup :)

I'm very interested in this also I would like to go with this turbo after my engine rebuild

What oil/ water lines did you use? B6 1.8t or stick with the tfsi ones?

The oil drain is custom... But I read on prWns thread it's b6 a4 1.8t lines or tfsi.. But just checking innit :)

None of the lines are from a stock 1.8T transverse car.

my oil drain is made from 2 ko3 oil drains cut and welded. The rest Dan supplied I'm afraid so I'm not sure!

sorry to be an eager beaver but do we have any more info on this? itching to give dan my card details you see...

I believe the car is up and running and driving now, awaiting some running and dyno time to follow last I heard :)

I'll give Dan a nudge, see if he can give more details

Car is running and driving..

Major knocking from exhaust is gone, but its rattling on the underside still so need to address that.
I also need to remake the turbo charge pipe as its rubbing on the prop shaft when it goes over a bump..

Only running it on actuator at the moment but does feel good, and spools nicely.. Once I've changed the oil tomorrow and sorted the charge pipe I'll give it stick and see what it's really upto..
I know you can't compare like for like but the same turbo on the 2ltTFSI engine made 403bhp so it's more than capable, just need to see if the engine is upto it..

So are you going to be selling as a whole kit. If so whats going to be included. And will you be selling parts seperatly. Just out of interest. Daz

Judging by what prawns did, it spool slightly later but held as the 2.0 did.. You think this would do the same? Also I was looking at the Loba unit, they seem to cut off the intake pipe on the Turbo, would that benefit anything or is just that them butchering the turbo as they do?

Gops, that Loba it's a different turbo, look again, the Loxx it's the TTRS turbo in the k04-064 exhaust side.
Water and oil line are easy to do Check the Trip Team facebook photos.
I think that the intake curve it's a limitation of the k04-064, is good idea to port it??
What's the site of the compressor Wheel used on the hybrid??

The 4xx doesn't have that intake curve whereAs the ttrs turbo does! I'm wondering if it's better to cut it off and stick a badger5 80mm billet adaptor on for a true 80mm tip.
