Phone prep with Audi connect & iPhone – should I bother?

Im led to believe that if I spec phone prep with Audi connect, I cannot use my iPhone to get the full array of service without removing the SIM card and putting in the dash.
I’m sure lots of you have iPhones and just wondering exactly what service you can get and if it’s worth it, I don’t particularly want to be taking my SIM out every time I get in the car.
Ive hear some providers will give you a dual sim??

Thanks for any advice – it’s pointless asking the dealers!

Well there has been an issue with using sim in dash & phone at same time as such, excuse my slowness today on what the issue is as still flu'd up, but there is apparently a software update being released to address this stupid problem, I believe another chassis may already have this done, so I would chat with the dealer as allot of people got ****** about this silly implementation.
