Saw a White S3 at Derby Audi last week when my A5 went in for a service. First time I have seen one and looks really nice, kind of wish I had waited for it to come out now! ð Anyone want to take me for a spin to make me feel worse? Lol.

I got told after id changed my order from manual to stronic that the build week moved from 9 to 12, then a week later it went to week6. ive emailed the sales guy today and ill probably email him once every 2-4 weeks

Comfort pack, folding rear arm rest (through load) sat-nav (SD), hill hold, privacy glass, panoramic sunroof, bright roof rails, advanced key, inlays in 3D black, folding mirrors, acoustic parking rear, cruise control, Audi sound system.
p.s don't go for the non-smoking pack or you lose out on the big pot for the centre console with the alloy looking lid and Audi logo. They're worth about £50.
Roll on AITP 2014 so we can all park up together???

£50?! Got mine on eBay for about a tenner! Non smoking pack ensures your cigarette lighter socket is wired for power applications rather than cigarette lighting, would rather have it that way round to be sure.
Anarch pm'd me about this. I cancelled my no smoking pack as I wanted the Ashtray thingy which will be ideal for mints, coins etc as daughter used to have in her Mini.
I don't plan to power much from the lighter if anything but surely it is capable of charging an iPhone etc??? Anyone know for sure?

I haven't placed an order, but have found a car that matches what I'm looking for, and put a deposit down on it today. Should be delivered in 2-3 weeks! Things are pretty much packaged up down here. There are no real individual options other than the sunroof.

Thanks mate. It wasn't a custom order. I called around to see what was coming in over the next two months and found this one. Pretty much the exact spec I wanted. It's really only missing privacy glass and the load through thingy, which is useless to me.
I had the choice between this and the same in misano red (minus the assistance pack). I decided to go with the glacier white, which looks great in the sun. So does the red though!

I got to transfer my pp to a new S3 due for delivery in March.

Don't know exactly how long they take.
Daniel at Kings Lynn stated that "Private Plate Transfers seem to be happening relatively quickly at present".
They've have now got my paperwork (according to the DHL web site), so it now has to go to DVLA and back.
Daniel seemed to think getting it done in two weeks was possible.
Time will tell.......
I've always arranged for my private plate to be put on retention which has never taken more than a week. Then all I have to do is hand the Retention Certificate to the dealer and they register it on their computer link direct with the DVLA the same day. Audi's complementary 7 days insurance helps here. When I collect my new car I just give them the form with the details of my existing car's new number and they make-up and change the plates.

Doesn't that mean:
1) you have to put the newly allocated plate onto your existing car, and deal with a change of details on your insurance
2) when you get your new car, that's another change of details on your insurance?
Surely you can't put a plate on retention and also keep it on your existing car?
For my insurance, it sounds like that would be two administration charges for the detail changes.
Maybe I've misunderstood your approach...
