Honeycombe front grill

Hi all, fairly new to the site and have done a search on this and am 99% sure this grill will fit my car but thought id ask for your opinions on here.

I have a 2006 A3 S line TDi and I wish to change the front chrome grill for the one in the link bellow, but the seller is convinced it will not fit the s line and states this in the advert.

I have e-mailed them saying im sure it will fit as the se/sport/s line are all the same shape, size and fixings and its only the s3 that is different.

Just want to be 100% before I order

From what I've read I believe you are correct, it's only the S3 it doesn't fit. Don't hold me to it though!!
 
Indeed, wondering if it will fit the S-Line bumer not the sport, but im sure the grills are the same as some people who have changed from a sport bumper to an S-line have just used the sport grill in the S-line bumper to save buying a new grill.

Just want to be 100% before I order as they always state that they will not fit the S-line model on the e bay adverts, but I think they get confused with the S-line and S3

I would also be interested as I have an S-Line.
Also does anyone have a picture of a Monza Silver with a honey comb grill

Yours is an mid 08+ model though?? so different grill needed again :)
 
There is a slight difference in the fit of the 06 s line and s3 grll I think as I had same problem and questions when I fitted my black fk grill think they still fit tho just have to tweek something
 
Correct the s3 and s line grills are different but the grill in the link is sold to fit the sport model therefore I would say that it should fit the s line, but the seller disagrees :(
 
I was told the same by the seller that the grill fits all but the s3 and s line but advised on here that the difference was only slight and it would fit with a tweek with no problems I have the black grill not the honeycombe but that does not matter as it is the model fitment that is your concern, my posts from last year should be still on here somewhere
 
I'm thinking about spraying one of these matt silver (For my lava grey a3) similar to these link.
Slightly worried it might not look as great with the numberplate bar through the middle of it.
 
I'm now looking at a black edition grille from FK automotive for £20.

Just need to know is the black edition grille different in size and shape to the A3 8P grille?

I ordered a black grill from them last October, 2 days later had an e-mail saying it wasn't in stock an is on back order will be delivered on the 28th November.........................Guess what a few days after it was supposed to arrive I had another e-mail saying it was out of stock and was on back order and it should be delivered in February.

At this point I asked for a refund and to be fair they done this straight away, so just make sure they have the item in stock before you order as I hear this is an on going problem with them.

Just looked at your car in your pics Phil-1, the grill I put in the original post wont fit your car as its 09, will only fit 05-08 (pre facelift)

Jst incase you were going to order the same one as me :)

I was, you have just saved me £20 👍

Now need to find a honey comb grille at a good price that will fit my 09 face lift s-line 😁😁

Edit: Sorry I'm getting confused with the different grills in this post. I'm looking at the FK automotive one for £20.

Right guys if any of you are interested I will be doing a group buy on an RS3 grill thats being sold on Ebay. Have spoken to the guy and hes happy to do a GB for us. This grill will fit facelift models only. Price will be about £220 approx but may change subject to numbers. If anyone is interested I will be putting up a GB thread for it this month some time.
