There's certainly going to be a good selection of S3s in Aberdeen come the spring! Wonder how many combos will be covered?! :arco:

Cheers, yeah was an amazing drive and covered ground much quicker than when I drove up in my 1.4 A3  just 30 miles short of 1k so will probably hit that milestone tomorrow, I haven't seen an 8v S3 down here so far, yet saw a couple running about up there! certainly more popular up north IMO.

I've seen mine plus three in Aberdeen and the shire in the last 4 weeks.
Probably some of the guys on here.

Cheers Mr Lecht, you should have just said hi, always good to put a face to a name! Next time maybe?

When are you heading off to the alps?

Looks like they are going to be very popular here in Aberdeen, as are most other Audi's really and for good reason!!

I had an amazing surprise yesterday. I ordered an S3 SB in September and was told that delivery was not going to happen before mid February next year. Got a call from the dealer saying that not only was the car in the country (I'm in Australia) but also that the car was ready to be picked up!

This is our first Audi and the car delivery process was great. The staff spent a couple of helpful hours going over the features of the car and helping us set it up to our liking. We even did a few park assist parks to show us how it worked.

So far, first impressions are that the car is nothing short of brilliant. All the features seem really intuitive and she drives great. Interestingly, our dealer said that the engine had already been run in and that there was no need to drive conservatively for the first little while.

Here are a couple of photos for your viewing pleasure. The estoril looks amazing in the sunshine. The last photo is the boxed wine set that my dealer handed over during delivery - bonus!

Been told my car is on the boat now towards the UK. I think it's on SCHELDE HIGHWAY which is literally just entering Grimsby as I type this. Woohoo. Not long now!

Ours has already landed and is awaiting delivery to Kings Lynn. They have promised to turn it around in 48 business hours so it may well be picked up at the weekend or early next week :)

Sweet. I'm looking forward to what you come up with re tuning as I'd like to go for at least stg1

What build week was your car? And did it come into Grimsby or Sheerness?

Looking at the photos where the boot is shown, I don't see anyone with the storage net in their S3 SB. I got one - did anyone else?

I received one too, i use it to strap down a shoe box containing useful tools and whatnot :).

I got one, its advertised in the brochure so its not something that should be left out. Mine was neatly stored in the left hand side behind the net in the area where the 12v boot charger is located.

We are testing the new DTUK / Shark Performance tuning box so will give good honest feedback on that. ECU can't be mapped as of yet.

graeme - wavetrac diff getting fitted ?

Not sure yet mate. I found some H&R springs and spacers eliminated a lot of the understeer in my 8P so I'll report back on what effect those have. It may be that I don't find it understeers too badly standard anyway. In any case I will be looking into this when I return to work tomorrow.

Plans are for this year to put the tuning box on, springs, spacers and then see what the car is like after its trips to Forge Motorsport and Cobra Sport. The only issue we have is the effect having all the mods on without a proper map but I'm hoping the guys at Shark are going to crack the ECU before long.

I recall someone mentioning that the footrest was going to be introduced on RHD vehicles for those taking delivery of 14 plate S3's, anyone know if this is happening?
