I've done a search on here and Google to no avail - does anyone have a picture that includes an Audi in both Daytona and Monsoon? I'd like to see the both side by side in the same lighting condition...

You need to look at like for like cars as both colours are good, I have the Daytona Grey on my Q5 and it looks different on my sons girl friends A3 SB. Sorry I cannot help anymore than this.

Is Daytona the more brown looking one?

I'm a big fan of the Monsoon but haven't seen Daytona I don't think

Dakota is the Brown one Daytona is THE best grey of all greys in my opinion

Really disappointed in Daytona in a lot of light conditions. That said some look great!

Monsoon seems like a gd colour tho, after seeing pics on main s3 thread..... Stunning

Monsoon better than Daytona IMO.

Ahh ok thanks. Not a fan of Dakota then but keen to check out Daytona as I had decided to go with Monsoon at this stage!

You really need to see Daytona in the sun it's awesome!!

I've got a 3 door in Monsoon, it does look fantastic when it's clean!!

Mine looked fabulous in Monsoon with privacy glass and spoked wheels, unfortunately its still with the dealers waiting for a spare part. 10 days delivery! (See thread re EPC fault)

Some pictures of mine in Monsoon Grey taken when new back in October. Monsoon Grey still looking good and easy to keep clean.

My S5 was in Monsoon.
It's the kind of colour that takes on a slightly different tint (almost blue-like) and actually looks as good dirty as it does spotlessly clean.

Had a Daytona A1 and now have a Monsoon A3. Both are lovely with Monsoon being slightly lighter and of course it's metallic whereas Daytona is pearlescent. Daytona is only available with S-Line trim - its does sparkle in the sun though.

That's Monsoon? goes to show why I took such a long time deciding between them, more than any item on the car I could have almost ended up just tossing a coin, no regrets on Daytona I think though.

So it is as well, very surprised as i'm sure I seen it available a while back when they went on order, must be one of these things they decide to drop.

Shame it's not an S and just a 1.6D but company car tax rules decide, still delighted to have such a high spec car for what it costs me to run but no doubt the govt will spot this and start manipulating things soon enough, people can't believe when I tell them to look at how much the road tax is and they are like what does "NIL" mean :moa:

Nowhere near as good as a Monsoon IMO.

Happy New Year folks.

Looks fantastic - about to choose my new company car and may downsize from my present a4 avant. Is your Daytona metallic or pearlescent?

Daytona is Pearl effect and lovely... Monsoon is duller. Shame no Daytona option on S3!

Lots of flake in it for pearl though so it really does look good in that rare thing called sunlight.

I'll have to add +1 for Monsoon. I reckon it looks better than Daytona. Especially in the sun. But I know you guys in the UK don't get much of that haha

I do prefer Daytona, even if I do have a Monsoon on order. Dealer told me last week Daytona is being discontinued, so if you want it and don't want to spend £2.5k you better be quick!

Thank you - your response and the piccies have made my mind up on colour. Now need to decide on wheels (5 spoke or Matt titanium) and whether the panoramic roof is worth the extra (glorified sunroof? And would it work as a look with this colour and the roof rails.) Anyone help?

First time I've seen s-line and Sport side by side from the front. The s-line styling is subtle, but definitely nicer and more purposeful :)

Both great colours, but if it was on an S3 I'd go for Daytona to increase contrast with the silver grille

I could only get Monsoon with my Sport saloon, and whilst I think it looks really classy when the car is clean, is does appear to get dirty very quickly, especially along the lower side panels, which I think is from the spray thrown off the front wheels. As there is no way I'd want to fit mud flaps, can anyone recommend a polish or wax treatment that would reduce the dirt sticking to the panels?

Once you've seen a polished Daytona in the sun...you will know which one to get!

I've gone Sepang, but Daytona was my 2nd choice .. I'm not sure about Monsoon, it seems most people describe Daytona as the brown/grey one but to me it's the opposite (must be my eyes) ..

Monsoon is a couple of shades lighter, with a brownish tint, Daytona is darker, richer, more black/blue grey ..

There's an S3 saloon in Monsoon at the local dealer, with an A6 in Daytona behind and, for me, Daytona is a nicer colour ..

Each to their own though ..

Same here, if Sepang wasn't an option, then we would go Daytona Grey.

Yes, Daytona definitely darker, and sparkler in sun ligh, similar to how Sepang sparkles.
