Monday Deadline S3 SB

Please can anyone help me......
Hello guys and girls and thank you in advance for any help offered .
I have ordered a S3 SB, in silver with the 10 spoke alloys and silver roof rails....plus toys.
I chose silver because my local dealer has one in(Preston) I test drove their red.....the silver does look nice
but it has no rails and the same wheels as a normal A3 on,so it's hard to tell.

I search everywhere before I found this site..... I liked red....then white.....discarded black...brown
and then on here saw a real looker in blue...forgive me for not giving correct names, you know what they are.

So come Monday I have to go firm on my order, I'd really like to see a silver SB with rails, or I'm going to swap to Blue
not that that's a bad thing.
id like to say some personalisation paints are great but £2k......please!!!

I think Silver with Black rails and the black pack would look alot better IMO!

And i would go with the COZ anthricite partly polished wheels rather than the 10 spoke too...

Silver on an S3 would be really rare tbh and will probably show the cars lines even better than white, Estoril blue is IMO going to be very common if this forum is anything to go by....don't understand the love for it but each to their own and all that malarkey...

Personally I have always thought the Sportback has looked good in Silver. But then I would as I'm on my 8th A3 and they have all been Silver. It's an easy colour to keep looking good and it makes a nice change from all the white and black ones that are around at the moment. The roof rails in Silver also look good.

It sounds like you have been round the houses on colours like I have. I finally settled on Ice Silver for my S3 order which I placed a few weeks ago. It's strange, when I started I would never have thought I would end up going for silver. I started off liking Misano Red, then was thinking Monsoon Grey, then Glacier White, then back to Red. All the while I was thinking "don't want silver" ... then I happened across these 2 videos on You-Tube and it all fell into place...

The videos are of an Ice Silver S-Line Sportback with silver roof rails. I instantly fell for it - the way the silver shows off the lines of the car. It looks really smart I think. You will have to use a bit of imagination to picture it with the S3 wheels and quad exhausts but see what you think. I have also gone for the silver rails.

I agree, Silver with black pack and black rails would look real good I think!!
Found this , but there's not many pics out there of Silver, could be a good sign tho!........

I'm not sure about the black pack, thing is Audi configurator IMO isn't that great, so I'm loathed at this time and will still go polished rails,I am going for the twin spoke star alloys.

Personally I think the polished rails look good on silver and match in colour wise with the wheels. The look quite subtle and much better than the sharp contrast of black rails. It's that look I may well go for when I change mine next year. It's looks really good in the videos posted earlier.

Black pack with silver rails doesn't work IMHO .

Silver is a marmite colour and difficult to repair well if paintwork involved . If you must go silver I would go black and black or standard and Alu . Just my view but I think many will agree.

Tbh there is lots of sliver and it won't stand out if you had silver rails. I would personally get the car in silver (stunning and ageless colour for s3) as it brings out curves and arches. I'd throw in the black pack and get black rails. Just makes it a bit sportier if you can picture it. (I'm guessing back half of the car is half tint from factory?) so in essence there will be plenty of black on a silver car it's a good look.
