Clutch from TT APX to a S3 APY?

Thinking of buying a clutch from a friend who has an Audi TT APX (engine code). Any ideas if it will fit on my car?

Basically I know it should work, I see it works on a BAM engine, not really sure if it works on APY.

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

A brand new clutch is not massively expensive.. LuK comes in at around 150 quid... for the effort involved fitting one (and a new concentric slave cylinder) I wouldn't bother with a secondhand clutch tbh

Pfff, really don't know if I should go for a conversion..I know that's better for the engine and gearbox, but also it comes with vibrations when idling (speaking just from what I've had heard, not really seen in person).

DMFs are more comfortable, although it shouldn't last as long as a SMF.. and I kinda like strong launches..

I still run a DMF on my car (@ 400hp previously) and will continue to do so in the latest rounds of upgrades to 500hp...

DMF is fine tbh... SMF's do seem to make 02M boxes overly noisy on idle and for a road going car I reckon the DMF is the better option..

Std clutch plate is not much up to launching many times... the Sachs paddle plate I use with an LuK cover and LuK DMF works very well

Hummm... not what I meant mate... if going for a std clutch plate stick to the LuK... the Sachs plate I was on about is a four puck cerametallic paddle plate... different beast altogether
