Sorry I know this has been covered lots of times, but I'm getting very confused.

I have just got myself a used BT module for my A3 8p MY09 SB S-Line.

What I'm confused about is the plug and play wiring harness, I have seen loads all different and costing from £12 to £25. I know I will also need the mic, but after doing a search and giving the part number to my local dealer I was told it's the wrong number. So what I really need is the following.

Link to the correct wiring harness and Part number/link for the Mic

I know it will need coding so will be looking for someone local with the knowledge.

Thanks in advance
Phil

Hi, this is the one on eBay you need 180737531631 may not be the cheapest but is the right one and the 1st one that came up

As Ollie said, the Carsystems looms are great, I use them for all of my retrofits.

I'd definitely buy through their website though, its in EUR on their website and you'll get a better conversion rate.

Wiring - Audi Bluetooth Plug&Play Wiring - 220cm - I'd definitely go for the 220cm length, then you can install it in its OEM position under the passenger seat.

Microphone - Audi Mic - Bluetooth / SDS - 8L1862373A

Even I know how to solder the connections, I'd still always get the plug&play solution, much cleaner install and saves a lot of time, and also allows you to easily remove to sell on if you need to at a later date.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. I have made a note of the links and will buy the bits once the module turns up.
The OME the module goes under the passenger seat. Is this just as easy as mounting it under the dash? What other bits would I need?

Thanks Phil

Going by A6Chris guide the plug and play cables he got weren't long enough to put it under the seat.
I'd deffo put it under the seat if I was doing it, saves putting the unit in the dash :)

To put it under the seat ( I want it as much like genuine as possible) do I need a bracket or does it just sit in something?

I replaced mine in an old a3 2008 and there was a black plastic box for it to sit in under the passenger seat

Yeah had to remove the seat .You have to pull the carpet back to get under too it so I'd say no you can't see without removing it unless you want to add a viewing window to your carpet lol

Ha ha I'm trying to think of a thread that doesn't involve you and biscuits lol

if you havent already ordered and have the rnse head unit you might as well order the sds+bluetooth wiring and enable the sds on your rnse .

I don't have RNS-E yet, hopefully next year some time.

I have ordered the wiring loom as recommended, should be here in the new year or earlier.

Correct, the loom I got wasn't long enough otherwise I would've put it below the seat.

I didn't know you could get the longer P+P loom but just seen Jonny posted it up so might do this in time.

There are no issues having it where it's currently at, no rattles etc.

Once the harness arrives I will see if it's going to be long enough to fit under the seat.
Will get some photos when I'm doing it 👍
