Spotters Thread For 8V Chassis

Near to me...an externally identical car with one letter different in the registration. Was rather concerned for a moment when I saw it!

Think that may well have been me if it was around Brentford/Greenford heading towards Western Avenue/M25 about 6 this evening, my last digits EXO and we both bought from Wimbledon Audi.

Funnily enough was well chuffed this evening, despite the awful traffic, as when I got to the car park on my way home there was some bloke looking enviously over the car and we had a good 5 minute chat on how good the car was. A real big compliment given that there is more than a fair share of decent cars in the car park.

Very disappointed to have spotted a Shiraz SB 62 plate in Dunmow, Essex today. At this rate there'll be more Shiraz's than Daytona's out there!

Wednesday 16/10
Cheshunt station car park -13 plate ice silver SB sport, well think it was ice silver as was still dark and foggy

Lol, no it was in a supermarket car park across the road from where I live in Wimbledon a few days ago. The other car was a 3 door like mine, and the different letter was a Y as opposed to X. I was seriously concerned my car had been stolen for a moment!

That's a shame. I was looking forward to being spotted by a fellow ASN member

My work car park now has two A3 Sportback 8Vs.

As well as mine, there is now a 13 plate A3 Sportback 8V 2.0 TDI Sport in dark blue.

Matlock, Derbyshire. DE4.

Nov 3rd M4 near Newbury

Red A3 Sportback 13 plate TFSI twin exhaust pipes. The Audi passed me, pulled in front of and we cruised together for a mile until I pulled off the motorway. Anyone here?

Was followed most of the way home today by an 8V along the A60 from Loughborough to Nottingham - suspect it was s33nyboy12! At least it confirmed to me how awesome the Xenons look when you are being followed by them... even turned my auto dimming mirror off for a bit just to make sure everyone else gets the full awesome effect from them too :p

Parked my Noggy blue 8L S3 next to a S3 8V sportback at Mercedes Benz World on Sunday for the Pistonheads Sunday service.

Got a few pics but not had a chance to edit the plate out.

Can't be many 8V S3s knocking about already are there? It's the first one I've seen on the road!

Anyone from here?

It wasn't me but it's a good point. I've only seen 1 S3 8V on the road and that was a demonstrator! I'm for one am quite glad that it's still a rather exclusive motor.

Saw an old lady, (possibly in early 70s?) drving a 63-plate red 8V TFSI Sportback (Sport) up Wanstead high street a few days ago. Doubt she's on this forum though....

Was just about to say "that was me!", but the reg doesn't match. I'll look out for it as I pass by the edge of Spencer's wood every day to work, look out for you too johnny.

Seen a red a3 saloon today on a52 South Nottingham about 9am .......... Looked wrong, I don't like them, reminded me of a fake audi for some reason like an Asian car company copy. Just not right IMO

I've seen one! Here

Yeh tell me about it!
I'm devastated! I wasn't even going fast :( that's the most annoying part. There was mid and water all over the bend which, may I add is an actual right angle. The car decided to slide. Ironic that two days later another car has done the same !!

oh dear - is the car back on the road and drivable? Hope the damage wasn't too bad!

Really sorry to hear - it pains me to see pics & stories like these.

Near side front wheel looks to have extended drop and the passenger protection deflection the bonnet has popped so the car sensed a front end impact.

Really hope it isn't as bad as it looks.....

Wow sorry to hear that mate :( as said by others hope there isn't too much damage! Glad you're ok :) cars can be replaced!

Sorry to hijack the thread as it's not for this. Yeh there is less damage than I thought, bonnet deflection thingy has gone off. It's drivable and no suspension damage, they will 4 wheel laser it either way. I am having all the wheels checked and repaired if any scuffs are there. Front offside corner, side skirt rear bumper, drivers door may require paint and washer bottle smashed. All in all a bad day but hope it will be ok. It's the fact it landed on too of stumps in the hedge that scares me :(

Bonnet thing is resettable by yourself - there are instructions in the manual. Basically says just give it a shove back down!

That's good news, I will let the repair guys do it :) it's with them now. 3 weeks wait though :(

I didn't, insurance collected it and they took it to the garage of choice. Kc autos it's called in stoke on Trent. Not sure how good/bad it's going to be but I can collect next weekend. I'm going to go over it with a fine tooth comb! It's only just do 3 thousand miles! There wasn't a mark on it!

Spotted kingfisher blue with black roof 8v s3 on M1 southbound about 16:30 near junction 15 today...... Looked very nice in kingfisher!!!
