hunting please help

Hi all i got my Love 06 A3 about 3 weeks ago on the way home i and the hubby noticed that it was as hubby called it hunting it was juddering the car you could feel it turns out i had the air con on so this was making it worse switched it off it stopped i haven't used the air con since and don't plan to hate it , the car has done it since not as bad but i am wondering whats causing it? i'm not overly worried by it it just annoying me because i know its there (i think i'm a bit OCD) The car had its cam belt and water pump ect done about 2000K ago, full service history from Audi (it does seem some time ago since spark plugs ect was changed )could this be causing the problem?Right a bit about the car its a A3 2.0 TFSI S-Line Quattro, has had 1 owner from new and probably bimbled around its whole life by a lady doctor so is likely to be having a heart attack now i own it loli hope someone can tell me what hunting is and what to do to cure the problem

2000K = 2,000,000 miles so probably due again by now

Hunting is a variation in engine speed not asked for by pressing or releasing the slammer.

Having Aircon on shouldn't cause an issue - it doesn't on mine, but I'm not sure if you have the climate control or the more basic unit (suspect it's the climate -same as mine). There's no particular reason to turn it off - and advice generally offered is to make sure it's run regularly even in winter to keep the seals lubricated.

I'm not sure why you think a Lady Doctor would have "bimbled about" in it - all the medics I've known (of either sex) have driven about as if their house was on fire at all times.

Spark plugs have a long interval these days but if it has VAG history they should have been done on time. Could be coil pack(s) or a whole range of other stuff - you need to get someone with the VAG diagnostics (VCDS or similar) to read the codes and see what's what - or obviously take it back if you got it from a dealer.

thanks for the info sorry i did mean 2 thousand miles ago i think i have found what it could be some kind of valve £50 from audi the doc is a GP not a ED medic so figured more of the mature side lol

fixed by the looks of things it was a PCV valve,
