Hello

BT S3 was mapped by Jabba who supplied and fitted 450 injectors

worked out they were too small as car would not go past 5k rpm under load

now 630 injectors installed and all is well .. just wondering, do i need another full mapping session or just a tweek here and there ?

Personally I would recommend a full session, preferably at Bill's or Niki's

<tuffty/>

You will need another map, old map will not cater for the bigger injectors. Curious as to why an outfit like Jabba would actually be happy for your car to leave not able to produce power after 5k revs? And you was happy to drive away with the car not complete?!?

Of course I wasn't happy about it .. this Mike guy fed me some crap about the fuel pump being weak so I went away with it in mind to get that sorted, he said it would be up to full power once I had done that and I believed him as he is the 'expert'. Turned out to be a wild goose chase as the injector replacement solved the issue instantly..

They tried to keep my old injectors, however I managed to get them to post them to me and when I looked at the part number they were 475cc (I was unaware of their exact spec on the day).. bigger than the 450s they replaced then with which made it even more of a joke

remap again to scale them in ideally

wideband car or narrowband car?

t'is a wideband (2001 amk)

its running pig rich at the mo so not driving it really .. had the oil changed last week and I reckon it had an octane rating

whats your waiting list like normally Bill ?

unisettings can pull some out to reduce its overfueling...
you need vcds cable but can pull back up to 25%

lead time for bookings is currently 2/3rd week Jan as of now

have just downladed unisettings .. interesting .. heard the name but never knew what it was
