How much love have you given to your 8L recently?

Just given my S3 £1600 worth of love in form of a new turbo this morning

Pictures to come by the end of next week as Owen Developments are just building it for me.

Bye bye GTX3076 you were fun while it lasted but you were to small ....:bye:

Not enough! She's sat in the car port covered in cr4p and desperately needing a wash & wax. Still, fitted my winter wheels & 4 brand spanking new Dunlop Winter Sport 4D tyres this weekend, so that's a plus. Just not getting any time when it's actually light and dry to clean her at the moment. All my time seems to be taken up going to kids' parties (with my kids!) recently. Also realised I haven't even looked on AS.net for months! Still love the car though.

A man's gotta love a good old kids party. Lol
But at least you got some decent shoes fitted for the winter days.
I've got loads to do but like you find it hard to find time. 2weeks off at Xmas should do me the trick ;-)

Been a busy one for me! fitting a vent boost pod/gauge it's a crappy gauge but i got it from a ebay auction for a tenner, it will do as a placeholder until i get a good one. Then today i fitted my catch can, the elbow coming off the oil filter housing was a right "%^£%£! didn't want to go back in at all, still not sure if it's on properly now. I also murdered the existing pipework so had to order some 1/2" fuel line for the brake booster.

I finally got round to fitting new ballasts, Phillips xenon bulbs, LED sidelights and got my fog lights working again :)

All in all it was a very productive Sunday and I can't wait for it to get pitch black again this evening:arco:

(Special thanks to Trups for helping me out and providing guidance with the fitting, as this was the first time I'd ever taken my bumper of myself in 5 years and never tackled the headlight units! lol)

Mine has just had a fresh new rocker cover gasket too as it was leaking like a b*tch.
I have also replaced the front Bose speaker because it was blown/damaged, repaired the rear wiper washer jet because it has seized, fitted some new Xenon headlight bulbs and some LED sidelights to match. She's also got a brand new battery.

Today's job - to repair the left micro-switch boot release and to re-attach my lower catalytic converter protective plate/shield.

And then she'll be perfect! Nothing else to do :-D

I bought a new heater motor for mine, and went to fit it last night.

Stripped out the glove box, only to find that the new motor had a different plug.

On investigation though, it was the wiring connection that had failled on the old one. A few new crimps, and it's all fixed and working perfectly.

Finally I might be able to dry the car out and start using it again!

New tyres - 2x ContiSport Contact 5 (Saturday)
Spacers (bought)
Cambelt, Aux and waterpump from the TTShop (Saturday week)
Brembo GT Juniors, DS2500s, braided hoses and dimpled disks (bought)
N249 delete vac hose (bought)
Oilpickup, new filter and new oil (done a weekend ago)

Decided the thing is just a good allrounder. Quattro in the wet, launches in the dry, spacious for Xmas trees, shopping etc, powerful enough to see of most 3l whatevers!

You would be looking around £1500-£2k depending on what paint you choose. Daytona grey has a pearl effect and the paint was £300 by itself plus lacquer and labour

My turbo that i was talking about above

Now looking at coolers.

Only going to get more expensive I thinks..

Since purchasing my S3 in February, it's been very much work in progress to return it to original. Although a 1 owner car from new and having covered 86k with full audi service history it had a few personal touches by its previous owner that needed sorting. I.e. led rear lights and 19" split rims.
So a few changes made have been:
Replacement glovebox.
Removal of amp and custom twin subwoofer install in boot.
Chrome mirrors sourced and fitted.
Original S3 17" wheels refurbished and fitted with continental tyres.
Standard S3 calipers refited along with brembo discs and pads, car was purchased with QST Movit Porsche calipers and discs.

Well since January I've spent a fortune on mine it's had
new cam belt and water pump kits
A service
A new clutch
Loads of new silicone pcv hose
New rocker cover gasket
Aux belt
Brake pads
Heat shield
Polybush top mounts
Inner tie rod + tracking
All Wheels refurb
Haldex controller (still not fitted)
Had to get fobs recoded
New. Rear brake line
Rear pads
Front pads
New rear light
Polish n waxed (needs doing again)
Booked in for a remap with badger5
And ordered new headlights of trups
Could of got a few nice mods done with money
