Hello I'm Andy c. I'm very well known in the BMW scene as spirit so I kept it for my first Audi I've owned for here.

My old loon with a spec list 2 sides of a4 long and many many features.
Before I sold her.

And the new Audi.

1.8 turbo avj bottom end with bam head and k03 s turbo. History of the car is a mystery engine wise so I go on what I'm told and what I see so far.

Mint refurbished rs4 18 inch alloys with 225/40/18 tyres

Hids in headlights

Coilovers

163 bhp model

Various s line bits

Plans inc sort crap handling out and remap /forge 007 recirculation valve plus k04 turbo down the line.

Not really know much about audis if I'm honest but trip reset don't work.glovebox bust and bonnet release handle broke .nothing major.

I'm based in kings Lynn in Norfolk so if anyone's local feel free to pop round and help lol

Andy

Induction kit day

Bin OEM airbox using guide
Buy nasty ripspeed filter to pinch shield hi hi
Measure up filter
Bin crap one
Retrofit spare mk4 golf turbo one I had in loft.
Refit it into shield using multiple swear words to make it fit inside.
Attach k/n secondary filter also.
Attach maf direct to New filter.
Attach OEM airfeed directly facing it.

Start engine and listen to the very much improved sound and turbo spool and diverter sound:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Smoke a fag in the knowledge you have done a mod not usually done this way and sorry didnt get all pics in as it was raining at times and i was in a hurry.sound is absolutely stunning
.
enjoy the pics

Fingers ****** hurt from fitting the k/n filter in the shield but well worth the hassle:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

There will be a few other things you will need to get used to now you have moved from bmw to audi. Particularly the fact audis have indicators which I don't think bmws do!?! ;-)

Ha ha ha yep.few electric gremlins too on the Audi so far inc no rear speakers working or sub must sort it out as I like my tunes

my avant is the same. rear speakers are iffy. one tweeter works on the O/S door and the speaker in the N/S door is intermittant, depends on how hard the door is slammed. lol.

listen out for a click when you turn the key in the rear, this is the amp turning on. may not be able to hear it due to the rear bulkhead (if the saloons have them). if there's no click, then it's probably dead, they do tend to go, can get a new one on ebay for about £20. :)

That's quite a simple fix, sort some replacement wire, connections and heat shrink and you're good to go. Getting the hinge gaitor our is the only real fiddle, plus some of the cable can be a bit short so it's worth extending them if you need to.

Meant to say I've a JVC headunit fitted.bought a lead ISO thingy but no joy so far hooking it up.must try harder lol

if you want to know about tuning the engine , head over to the a3/s3 8l forum , if you need to know how to cheaply mod your standard back boxes , head for the diesel forum , and if you want to know how to fit stuff that should have been standard on a 15 grand car then stay in this forum lol haahha only kidding everyone :)

Well my replacement bonnet has turned up and got cracking in with it.passenger side arch trim pulled out to run the new bonnet release cable and new bonnet on.just need to adjust Bonnet catch to release properly and adjust gap so its even.

Been told my turbo return pipe is leaking and since I've had the induction kit on I've a strange sound like a dentist drill coming at 2500 k revs onwards and driving me potty atm.do hope its not the turbo dying seeing as the stereo blew up the other day as well.

Have to say at the moment it will be my first and last Audi imo.
