Hi All,

I have fitted the stalks for dis and cruise and now need to get them activated which I'm going to do soon with a vagcom. My questions are, what is the code as Ive seen the cruise control code but not the cruise and dis code, also do I need to do a wiring mod/washer level sensor mod.

My car is a 2006 2.0ltr tdi 170bhp A4 Avant.

Cheers Rick.......

Well it must have been something I said no reply's and someone else asks a simlar question and gets a reply instantly.

Confused.

If they asked similar then is your question answered?

Chances are whoever uses vcds to code them in will already know the codes to use :D

Hi,
I recently did this to my B6 S4 Cab, and I was a bit nervous about doing it as I had never coded cruise control before, I can honestly say it was a doddle though I had to fit a new SCM and clock spring as well though DIS was already factory activated, the coding.
All the info is on the Ross Tech site, I also used their utube videos as these made things a lot clearer, especially when coding the ABS module (you might not have to do this) just make sure you take an auto scan before of the car before you start changing codes.
Regarding the question you asked you will need to change the fourth digit of the soft coding of the SCM from the existing number to a 4 "Board Computer and Cruise Control".

To activate the Cruise control you will need to recode the Engine ECU link below,

Regarding the Washer Bottle I,m not 100% sure as I,m sure I have read that some cars possibly just B7s MIGHT come with the level sensor from the factory, I might be completely wrong, you could just wait till its coded and see if you have warning light come up, and then sort it, or you could look at the how to on the site somewhere to see if the connector behind the dash has a cable in it in which case you have the level switch fitted.

Like I said similar, basically half the question answered :)

Ok are there any Vagcom guy's around the bradford area that can enable the Dis and Cruise stalks that I have fitted. I will run the wire from pin one myself.

Cheers Rick......

Cheers Andy27168,

I think if there is anyone local I will see how much it costs to do as I don't want to make a mistake trying it myself. The cruise looks simple and I can get a vagcom to use but the lack of info on Dis makes me nervous.

Cheers Rick..............
