Had a call from dealers today, car is due to them tomorrow, and should be able to pick up in a week or so :icon_thumright: !
ordered beginning of August and was originally quoted mid Jan 2014, then build week 45, and has ended up about a week earlier than that, so really please with that.
the long wait is nearly over !

Car delivery from port was delayed by a about a week, but dealer has confirm it will be with them tomorrow !
not in a rush as already waited about 14 weeks so another week is not a problem, but nearly there now !

1 x A3, Misano Red, Sport back, S line, 1.4 TFSI C.O.D. Sports suspension, With Panoramic roof, Audi Upgrade sound system, Interior light pack, Hill hold assist, Folding mirrors, Non smoking pack & De-badged is at dealers awaiting setting up and collecting !

Got email confirming delivery today, so probably collect next weekend ?
Just hope all of the above spec is correct !!!

would love to see pics, brilliant black, black styling pack, etc. was REALLY tempting, but just come from 2 black cars so fancied a change, but next time have all ready gone for this option in my head. Should really get this one out the way first though

just looking at your spec on signature, 6 x options same as mine and others where all possibles that came REALLY close, but as i went Misano not black, Pano was nice contrast (doesn't show up on black so much so might have dropped to get extras as you did) & so budget ran out
+ an S line sport back, good call, you have impeccable taste !

I love the look of contrasting roofs so your pano will look great! We have a carbon wrap on the roof of our white Alfa Romeo Mito.

sport suspension, but no roof rails (just the way plastic looks), as they hide the Pano slightly, which I really like the contrasting look of !

N.B. was really torn with the S line suspension as looks better than sport, but have gone for the sport back to give elderly (ish) in laws a lift so was thinking of them a bit as they are really good to us and wanted them to enjoy it too.

It's strange how the wheels don't seem to fill the arches from certain angles. A colleague has the s line with sport suspension and it is lower than that picture suggests.

yer, back wheels seam to fill arches better than front in photo, but think it is just to angle of photo, but have seen I the flesh, and looks fine. I knew it would be a slight comprise on looks to go for sports set up, but am really happy with overall look and love the sports suspension to drive as is a nice balance of firm and comfy. Shame you can't have it all.

Looks pretty good to me! In the flesh they always look better! (not much compromise). I should have asked them to leave the plastic on mine for delivery tomorrow, I could have got artistic and made it in to zebra print.

I've always thought S-line with sports suspension looks perfect and I think you'd have to look very carefully to spot the 10mm height difference. So I don't think you've compromised at all - you've selected the ideal combination.

Have got to agree, I had much deliberation on my mine and changed my mind a couple of times but have no complaints at all with sports suspension on s-line.

With regard photos and angles, you sometimes forget what a great looking beast the s-line is, once you have driven it round for a couple of months. Only this morning I saw mine from a slightly different angle (rear quarter from about a 30-40 angle at distance) after parking up on the way in to work and the view brougt another one of the those Audi grins to my face!!!!!

I picked up my A3 about 2 hours ago and have just got back from a drive, Wow.
C.O.D. Engine is absolutely brilliant, very very refined and smooth even for a petrol, and surprisingly quick, still have to run it in yet to test properly.
sports suspension, looks great on S line (despite my slight worry) and really comfy, but still grippy and firm.
xenons, never had them before and now will never go back ! Is a massive improvement over standard lights, i only test drove in daytime so a big surprise at how good they are.
interior lights like wise, never seen in dark, really really cool, even back foot wells and all door handles are lit up.
Audi upgrade sound system, really good, but needs running in a bit, but centre speaker really helps with phone calls.
hill hold assist, with in 10 mins just seamed natural, works so well you just forget it, which is best complement you say about it.
Misano Red on an S Line sportsback with Pano looks the nuts, I know is a very personal thing but am a little surprised at just how well the combination works as I have never seen in the 'metal' before.


to anyone still waiting there turn to collect, it is definitely worth the research on here first as I did to get the options right for you (not anyone else) and is most definitely worth the wait !

the volume goes up to 25 !?! I only have it on about 7 or 8 as wanted the run speakers in a bit, is a nicely rounded sound system, was impressed, not just all tweeters and base. Forgot to take I pod so will test better tomorrow.

Haha it's strange it gets to a volume then numbers keep increasing but doesn't get any louder? I am supposed to run the speakers in? Have been giving the car plenty to as soon as it's warm and it's not come out of Dynamic yet
Will be losing it next week I think for them to fix the paintwork. I hope they give me something nice (requested the R8 spyder).

it's my current "time to have fun with the car" track....have it set to first track on my iPhone as usually run music from DAB or SD card so can switch to it in an instant along with programable steering wheel button for drive select (2 presses gets you from auto to dynamic)..........had fun on some country roads today when an Astra was trying to out run me, not a chance as was feathering the throttle to keep some distance between us....then I kid you not, an R8 pops up behind me and follows for about a mile or so and when the smallest gap appeared "boom" it was past us both........happy days!
