just did thi todayand now car doesnt run, the hose snapped pretty cleanly so guna try and bodge something togetger tomoz i think, just for my own peace of mind that would be why it wouldnt idle woukdnt it as there is a vac leak to intake manifold?

Yeah if there's any leak from that pipe the car will run terrible, poor idle and lack of power.
temp repair until you get a new pipe I'd say.

thanks for the reply i bodged it together for now ive tried looking fir a replacement and cant find one i guess id have to have a look in scrap yard or sumthin unless i had the oart number

also it blew my intial bodge i thougt it was a vac pipe lol unkess there is a hell of alot of vac goin throughit?

It's only a vac pipe on idle and over run.
when driving it takes full boost from the turbo.
either a scrap yard or just get one from the dealers if can't imagine them being that expensive.
it needs to be 100% sealed or your car will suffer in performance.

ye i thought it must have boost going through it, ye shoukd prob take it down dealers get a propa replacement i guess

If you have a scrappy near you its the same part on audi skoda Seat and vw.
Anything with the 2.0 tfsi engine in has it so should be very easily found.
