Well I have an update! The cars in, already stripped the rear haldex and gearbox out ready for its new one.. But when I dropped it off, they had only started. Still I had a chance to test fit the new haldex bias plate by Andrew! Very very easy to fit.. From what I can see there is no modifications needed but will update that once the haldex unit is on the car itself. It doesn't seem to hot anything as its only near the prop shaft doughnut so should fit ok.. So without further due...
First thing I did was make sure that the thread was closed fully:
Then I marked this position with a green marker as closed to the left. I also set the lock nut and marked the thread between the lock nut and the big knob thingy so that If I ever lose the positioning, I can refer that the locknut was x turns away from the knob and that the thread is closed when the green markings line up to the left as such:
Next was a half way turn which was 2 and a half turns from closed
And again I green marked this, this time to the right
Then a further 2 and a half turns (which takes the markings back to the left) is fully open
Now already I can suggest that it would be better to have the inside thread stop when the hole is fully closed, instead it'll keep going in.. Only because for reference reasons it'll be simpler.. But this is totally fine! You will have to set the lock nut every time you adjust the bias, but as long as you mark on the thread as I've done here (not the best pic)
Then you will know that if I set the lock nut at that mark, and fully close it lining the markings to the left, it will be full 50/50. There's probably a better way but I just chose to be complicated
Here's some pics on how it looks fitted.. Best thing to do is use some elastic bands, fit it to the haldex unit with both gaskets and pop an elastic band around it so it doesn't fall apart. Then position it, and loose fit the bolts so you can then cut the elastic band and full tighten the haldex.. It's worth it since your saving loads if cash on a performance controller so no complaining lol!!
I will get better pics with it on the car to show clearances but I'm confidant it will fit with no problems..
