A3, Biting point.

Hi.
I have a 2008 1.6i A3, previously drove a 1.6 astra (1.6) for 2 years, and I was fine with the biting point, hill starts without handbrake etc.
I have an issue with the biting point with the new car though it is too high for me to adjust to, and tbh is driving me mad. It feels like I' a new driver again
when stationary, I find it takes too long to pull away, not good in Reading, with the chaotic traffic.
I have read that if it is high then it can be it needs a new clutch, but the car has only done 39k, and has had regular servicing.
Apart from the biting point, I can drive it fine, is it possible to adjust it or is it a ridiculously big thing to do to the car.

P.S, I haven't had the car long at all, so I don't know if its simply the way these cars are.

i find audis in general to have high biting point in comparison to others.

my foot is practically off the clutch when the biting point occurs. There is no room to play at all, still getting use to the rev when starting to, it seems to be really sensitive.
slightly concerned that I won't get used to it, it's just the pulling away is taking me a few seconds too long, and it's so frustrating.
i haven't owned many cars since I'm only 22.
i learnt in 3 different cars, focus, corsa & another ford.
Owned a Peugeot 207 & an Astra, Audi is my third proper car.
had no problems with the others, hence I was asking if I can alter the clutch so it is a bit lower, obviously I don't want to if it crazy money

I'd say just stick with it, you will adjust it may just take a bit of time. Not sure about changing the height of the clutch sorry.

Are u balancing the accelerator with the clutch as u begin to disengage the clutch? Im fairly sure ull get used to it eventually, never driven a 1.6 a3 not too sure how they are, but my bros old mk4 1.6 was the same, as was his old polo. I think most VAG vehicles have a long clutch throw with very minimal feel.
