Well some would say ordering an S3 is an "excess". How about you cancel your order, sell your current car, buy an old banger and donate all the "excess" cash to a good cause?

oh dear, this is all very sad. My wife bought me a private plate for my 40th, so what?? I love the plate and clearly a lot of people on here think that having PP's is fun, so what's the problem? Oh yes, we are all ********* whereas you're not, is that right? And yes, I do get satisfaction from mine, I must be the biggest scumbag ever and no, I've never driven a friggin vauxhall corsa ok. Why don't you just accept that some people like them and move on? I thought this forum was about the CAR??

As a sub-contractor turning up to work in a 63 plate will get the bosses thinking "we're paying him to much" whereas I'll just be turning up in a different car.
Lucky you! I still have to wait a couple more weeks = pain-full!!! I have ordered a glacier one but still not seen one "in the flesh" I can imagine it looks even better than in the pics!

I'll take some better pics with my dslr when I pick up Wednesday. The dealer did say it was a bit dark for pics but I couldn't wait to see it! He said everyone who's seen it has commented it looks the mutts nuts and it's the first with black pack they've seen.

I love Audis, especially tasteful ones.
Not a fan of aftermarket wheels that look like Asda Aircon extractor fans (not taking the PI55... check it out/
I love cars in colours other than Black, just reckon the A/S3 looks great in Black... my opinion!
Tuning is absolutely fine , I do it but on an Audi S3 would want to be 100% sure that it didn't void the warranty and my insurers were happy. Not into deceit and 'reverting back to standard for a service so no one notices!'
As for Tom Toms... wonderful product but hey.. I can't be faffing about with rubber suckers and bits of wire to save less than a quid a week.

MONO PUR
Anyone on here not go for the Mono Pur option like me. Annoyingly I never even knew it was an option and now a bit disappointed. Anyone out there living without the PUR? Tell me I'm not the only one?

I ordered it as it looks a lot nicer than plain black plastic... But then again, once your behind the wheel you'll be enjoying the car too much to care!
If it's too late too add it on, then just forget about it m8. Your not missing a great deal, just a nice little aesthetic touch
EDIT: oh and I've sat in s3's with and without it... Without it is still an amazing place to be sat, It still drools quality

Prolly would be cheaper to get a car upholsterer to do it in real leather than retrofit it with oem parts. Don't have ETKA so don't quote me in that

ive only done rough quotes 2 months ago on confused.com and got approx. £300 with protected ncd and 26 years no claims and I think £100 excess - funny though that's less than my near 11 year old pug 307xsi, less than the wife 2004 a class merc and only £50 more than my 15 year fiesta 1.25 - work that one out!!
yep Ive added stronic and acc - but prob put back from wk9 to wk12 - oh well
since placing the original order I've added HHA, lumbar support, adaptive lights and vrc, as a result of this my build week has come forward from 5 to 3. Go figure!

That's good to know - I'm build week 5/6 apparently (that appears to change regularly without being factory confirmed either) but still not over hopeful it will happen
I did speak to my mate who's a master tech at Audi and he confirmed they can be a pain in the to change (he hasn't had to do one on the new A3 yet though) and would proberly involve pulling back the carpet and maybe the gearbox tunnel trim to get at the carpet at which point I thought I'll try and negotiate something out of them rather than have that pulled about
PilotAudi, this goes up for auction tomorrow (Obviously I'm assuming that you fly in the LHS for a living), happy bidding!
