2013 Audi S3

Actually you are right - It's the correct picture but the wording is for the s-line as per the s-line page as well

It wil be a mystery as to what we might actually get or not as standard soon

Must be a new brochure soon with further amendment/corrections!!!

This is what my new wheels with the calipers painted red would look like!

It appears that in this picture ABT must have either painted around the plastic "S3" logo part, or removed it, painted the caliper then re-attached it...

Shame it's not an option, I think they look great!

I flagged this up the of October and have been bouncing Pictures and emails around of my car. this is the latest message I have received

Please see below the reply from product marketing with regards to your footrest.
Also I have checked with my parts team this morning and the factory have not yet released any winter wheels for your vehicle but this is something that they are looking into at present.

I will be in touch once I have further information on either matter.

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for this info. I have also received a separate customer query regarding the same issue and have checked a car that we have onsite here which also does not have the footrest in brushed stainless steel.

I have raised this as an urgent issue with the factory as all of the information we have received from them state that the S3’s should have the footrest in brushed stainless steel.

I will let you know as soon as I received a reply.

Regards,

Michelle Gray

well my existing MINI clubman cooper d has been collected today and is off to BCA now. My new s3 is due 1st march collection so now trying to think if I should run around in our 'spare' 1.4d fiesta (new shape) until then or tax our z4 3.0 instead. I do love our z4 but it's another £170 or whatever 6 months tax will cost. I usually tax it for the summer 6 months only.

Weve done nearly 50k miles in our MINI and it's been very good to us. It was remapped from just after it's first service and pulled 170hp on the rollers. Not bad for a car with a book output of 112hp! Always returned over 55mpg too, 67 usually on a run.

I wanted a second set of rims with the winter tyres on, as per previous post Audi don't know what tyre they recommend yet. Do not want to scr*w the warranty up.

How is putting winter tyres on gonna scr*w the warranty up? As long as tyre size an loading is the same it doesn't matter. Speed rating is normally lower on winters FYI.

When I rang the dealer up & Audi Direct they were initially tlking about a 17" rim

Theres no way they can void any warranty because you have winter tyres fitted instead of summer.

Hi. Just had this photo from the dealer. Pick up in a weeks time. IMG 0047

Based on earlier thread here is a clue for you!!

Sticky: Danners78 - on order, week 43/end of Nov13...
Danners78 - on order, week 43/end of Nov13 Delivery, Estoril/black nappa sport back STronic, North West (Manchester)

Estoril only works for me in the sunshine I'm afraid!! Glad I've stuck with Phantom which is neither 'rich nor poor mans' it is simply THE best Black.(In my view of course ;-)

I'm sure it doesn't take 8 days to prep but I'm booked in next Monday to collect. Dealer (100+ miles away) is going to take more when it's light. I'll be sure to post.

Way ahead of you pal the wife's got an X5!
The S3 will be my toy

I may replace my other cars a Peugeot and Fiesta for a used 4x4 like an x5, audi q7, merc m or Volvo xc90 but after ive replaced the wifeys car - asked he if she wanted a bmw as tempted with some of the 3 series contract hire deals eg a bmw 330d m for £300/mth inc vat 10000 miles per 3 years I think and 1200 up front - that's much less than the cars' depreciation!

Has anyone here ordered an S3 with a build week of 45? Awaiting a delivery date from the dealer and wondered if anyone knew? S3 Sportback in Glacier White. Pretty excited ;)

There's an S3 register at the top of the forum. I personally had a build date of week 43 and got my car 10 days ago but I'm in continental Europe. Your car will stay at port for some time before it's on it's way to your dealership.

The reason why the Contract hire deals are so attractive is the dealer is factoring in a huge discount off rrp.. could even be circa 20% and assuming a reasonable residual.. all this + low interest rates + cracking deals.. BUT does anyone really want a BMW.. just try pushing at Audi a bit more would be my advice but they do have the trump card.. a decent product to sell that is in demand!

Mine was 45 and I received this email on Thursday.

Thought you would like to know your new Audi is now on a ship, Ships take two days to sail, two days to off load, plus circa three working days to reach the dealers, so with a tailwind should arrive with me by next Friday? We then need three working days to process through Pre Delivery inspection etc.

I have a feeling I'm alienating all my friends and family because I don't shut up about the car!

I've got my little countdown app going and my finance paperwork came through today to sign, attached to the top was my new number plate too! It's all becoming very real all of a sudden instead of just some far away pipe dream!

Had a mini scare when I realised I'd misplaced my driving licence on Wednesday at 4:30am just before I left the house! Anyway, I had a proper look today and found it tucked away in a Mercedes A class brochure I picked up when going for a test drive months ago! I had a quick browse through the brochure after and remembered why I chose the Audi!

Cheers Danners - are you based in the UK. What S3 did you go for?

Yes in the north west. London boy though - obviously supporting Manchester United.

S3 Sportsback s tronic. Estoril blue. Can't wait. 2nd December pick up seems so far away.

Nice one, cheers for that! Our cars might even be on the same ship! I will find out on Monday I guess from my dealer.

Haha! Exactly like me then. I don't think anyone else really cares but I keep telling them. It's actually painful and I have only been waiting for 8 weeks. Thank god my build day was moved forwards as it was originally meant to be with me in Feb! Ouch!

true re: bmw. I don't get why people like them as I think almost all bmw's are ugly - just look at their new electric car i3 or whatever its called makes the Nissan joke look beautiful!!

Still £300/mth rental for a £37000 is good though the audi tt is better at £190/mth

Any ideas how much it would cost to get this done. I think it looks great with a white S3! Im referring to the red breaks not the wheels really.
