hello all.

got a clutch and now a timing belt to do, so taking the engine out, so going to do a few other things, ive found a few numbers but im struggling to find the rest

gearbox mounts
engine mounts 11811141377 (is there a diffrent one for left and right?)
rear crank seal
gearbox input seal
clutch release bearing
clutch slave
cam belt kit (can someone suggest a decent one?) thinking a gates or continental kit
oil pump
metal impeller water pump
oem thermostat and temp sensor
clutch slave pn:8D0721257
brake master cylinder reservoir pn:8E0611301
flywheel to crank bolts (to fit audi 80 flywheel)
clutch cover to flywheel bolts

any thing else worth doing as per course?

I used a Contitech belt kit. It came with all the right bits and all OEM brands.

From memory a TQS needs CT919K4

great, found one in ebay for that, the rest of it i have no idea, i did email jason @ all german car parts but not had any info back from him, i gave the same list and asked for a quote.
will have to just do lots of googling and try and find the right parts

are engine and gearbox mounts diffrent from left to right?

yes, engine and box mounts are sided, Lemforder do the box ones for sensible money, Jason should be able to get you those. The engine mounts are fairly pricey as they're hydraulic.

yer no new back from him, sure he will he sorted me out that clutch cover

the ones i found under the part numbers were rubber?

Also, dont obsess over getting a pump with a metal impeller, just buy a decent quality pump.

****e pump with a metal impeller will spit its bearings out after a week. Decent pump with a plastic impleller will last years.

Why are you changing the temp sensor and slave cylinder? Slave is external on the A4 and so i wouldnt bother unless it was broken. Temp sensors almost never fail and are almost always misdiagnosed.

because the one i bought is suspect wasnt genuine, and im changing the slave becasue while ive got it out and to be fair, if im doing all this other stuff then i may as well, not looking forward to it as much as the same to fitting new arms and bushes/top mounts back and front next

The engine mounts are rubber with hydraulic stuff inside.

oh i see
