Scuba blue my friend. Dont know why but in Lightroom my images look a bit scatty and compressed. Need to tweak it up.

I'm thinking about changing my order to saloon instead. with 1.8tfsi s-tronic quattro. Cant decide if i want saloon or sportback. after seeing those beautiful pictures of your black saloon.

Saloon is cool, but sportback is better looking (just my opinion) more practical and cheaper, if a bit more common.
don't understand why saloon is dearer for less space and a smaller boot?
Saloon is not so great from the side view IF you don't have S line body kit and 18" / 19" wheels,
If it is a nice spec and colour like kenithD32's then saloon looks absolutely brilliant,
it's a bit all or nothing with the saloon, doesn't work in "sport" spec, has to be s line minimum. And some colours suite saloon better.
I was thinking about full spec. As my sportback has that. x2 sline,tech pack b&o and so on.
im realy not sure what i should do right now. i got build week 48 for my sportback. And I'm afraid that if i change that now. It is gonna take some more time before i get my new car. Maybe i should give the sportback to my wife and order a saloon for myself =P

First time poster on this forum, but have been reading from time to time. But I just got my new A3 and I wanted to post some pics.
I came from an Audi A3 Sportback 8P from 2010, but quality wise, this car is a huge step forward.
It has the following specs:
- A3 Sportback 1.6 TDI S-line edition
- Misano red
- Black Optics styling pack
- Panoramic roof
- Aluminum pack
- 3D Optics Black pack (inside)
- 18" Black rotor rims
- Park distance control
The S-line edition already contains loads of options, like Xenon lights, fog lights, MMI navigation, etc.
I came from an Audi A3 Sportback 8P from 2010, but quality wise, this car is a huge step forward.
It has the following specs:

- Panoramic roof
- Aluminum pack

That looks amazing! I'm waiting for my 1.6 TDI S-Line Sportback as well (due next week). I don't think the standard S-Line includes MMI Navigation for free, does it?
Go one you know it makes sense. The saloon is a bigger car and has a larger boot:

similar to mine coming next week, but can't get the black rotor rims in uk so skipped the black styling pack to match wheels, otherwise would have done exactly same as you. Pano looks very cool on Misano !

Alfie28 - Boot space is more than enough for me, I used to have an A4 B8 saloon and it's not that much smaller to be honest. At least I can almost reach the back of this without climbing in ;-)
I went for the saloon as I personally prefer the look.
Didn't think you got any nav as standard, not in the UK anyway.

Looks nice, any more photos of the optics pack. Your car is the first iv seen with it and it looks quite nice

Each to there own, but I am not sure about the black highlighting around the front and rear light clusters,
Its only the interior one iv gone for. Hadn't noticed the exterior one till you said.
Yeah I ordered without seeing it, and the description didn't say anything about the black around the lights. However my car is black so should look ok
The black optics pack (exterior) does not mention (and affect) the lights. It's the black grille, black license plate holders, black window ... euhm... frames?
But wait, I am talking about the Dutch configuration here. Not sure if that is the same in every country
Visually stunning....like all Audis. However, IMO, looks very similar to an A4 where as the the A3 sportback is easily distinguishable in its own right? Just my thoughts and totally understand if you prefer saloons as quite clearly you do.
I think it is indeed your eyes playing tricks. That lights do not have a black border in real life

Iced silver wasn't on my short list of colours, but have seen driving around since and looks really good on new A3,
much cooler than I thought, goes with all the chrome trim and alloys really well.
had a silver rover years ago and was really practical as well.
