i bought a tdi because I loved the looks of the new a3 , but going from a string of fast cars to a tdi was suicide and the new s3 wasn't out when I bought mine so 6 months later I found myself scratching the itch with my yellow beast the e46 m3 .
It's great all round car modern vag diesels but they are not fast, they aren't even quick they are just "quick for what they are" .

It should feel nice and different for a while mate but I put money on you getting the urge for a fast hatch within 3-6 months.

I already think I am going to buy an 8P S3, can't be ***** to wait.

On the look out for a sub 12, white 8P S3. If I can find one, and get back what I paid for the diesel I will just do it.

Today I tried to race some bag of dicks in a convertible A5 TFSI, and barely managed to keep up.

He fired up the second I turned the key, all fluids spot on.

Straight up to temp, like he had been driven all week.

Gave him a wash and a wax, cleaned all my **** out of it.

Good car, will be missed. Glad it's gone to Jamie though, it'll clearly be better looked after in the hands of an engineer rather than a dodgy salesman.

I picked J-rod up from work yesterday, it was quite funny, for the first few minutes he was still in work mode, talking like a right dodgy salesman, I'm sure he even called me Sir at one point

Going against the grain on that after your last two previous car colours of black and ummmmm black aren't you- think of all the money you'll have to spend on new car detailing products to get that 'whiter than white look'

If I was to go for an 8P (Massive IF there) - it would have to be the pretty much the same as Ben has just got if you've seen that?

4-5 year old 3dr 8P S3 BE, in black with the bucket seats, RNSE and FBMFSW

I threw so much away yesterday, starting a fresh with detailing products.

Threw way a bottle of Super Resin, Intensive, Zymol cleaner wax, Tech Wax, Collinite, Glyptone, AG bumper are, megs trim restorer, megs tyre dressing, a load of AG shampoos, a full bottle of aquawax, a new bottle of AG screenwash. Literally cleared my shed.

The only things I kept were an almost empty tub of Crystal Rock, half a tin of Desirable, a tub of AG High definition hich I only use to hold down my microfiber stack and a tub of Dark Angel.

Binned all my old microfibers, and my kit bag.

Then placed a reasonable order with Mark and a new Swissvax cooler bag.

Ordered a bottle of Revelation, QED, Bilberry, Heaven, Elixr, super fluffy cloths and some other bits.

GENUINE real life true story.

I have saved up a bit of money to buy a track car to run along side the diesel, and I was about £500 away from buying an S3 on Monday night.

It may or may not make sense, but with all my VAG contacts it would be appealing to get an S3 and strip the hell out of it, rods and BT. The other option was a TT. Who knows.

Might even buy the slayer back off Jamie if the price is right.
