Chaps, the full set could probably do with a refurb, which prompts the question... would I be better off looking for a new set of wheels (with or without tyres)?

There's a local shop to me that sell Rotor copies. I have no idea what these are like (can anyone comment?) - 18" TTRS ROTOR STYLE AUDI A3 A4 A6 TTRS ALLOY WHEELS AND TYRES 225/40/18 | eBay

I do prefer the Rotor design to the standard S3 wheels, but im not sure about these copies...

Are there any other options I could go for? What would you recommend? FWIW the existing tyres on mine are still pretty good.

Thanks for any help.

The trouble with the rotors you've linked to is that they are a gloss (lacquer) finish whereas the oem rotors are matt / satin. You can get matt replicas but they are hard to find.

I've got a lovely set of 19" BBS 20-spokes for sale. PM me if you're interested.

Fair enough, although they are OEM Audi wheels :)

Stay away from reps mate... Hit a pothole, it will hit your wallet.... Low quality alloy density and you'll be replacing them over winter + they look naff compared to oem wheels...

i just sourced a set of rotors, not the easiest or cheapest wheels to find but they are out there...

Have to disagree here, I've had a set of rotor reps on my car for the past 2 and a half years, I've hit many pot holes big and small at proper speed and still don't have anything wrong, I'm running with slightly bigger tires though so that may help, but I can't fault them what so ever

As for looks theres not a lot in it, OEM are matte, reps usually aren't but mine are powder coated anyway so its no difference to me.

Each to there own... I had rep s5 wheels on my old car for a while, snapped 2 of them with potholes so i'm well experienced with these alloys and never again! Sit your wheels next to a car with oem and you would tell the difference straight away.... Not the type of wheels i'd be looking to stick on a S3

Cheers Jacko, makes sense. Could you do me a favour and post a link to the Rotors you mentioned? Thanks
