Very nice Rob. Love the colour and wheels, looks fantastic.

Great looking car Rob, welcome to the S3 club :beerchug:

Just a bit of advice, if you are planning on fitting an oil catch can then dont bother with the TTS cover as it wont fit properly after the catch can is fitted.

cheers guys! thanks for that advice dean, i will be eventually but for the moment i will still fit the engine cover, then sell it on when i get the catch can! i take it profile your profile pic you are a revo user/fan?

Yes, had Revo stage 1 on my K1 and have recently gone 2+ with my S3.

Its certainly lots of fun :) :)

Great looking car Rob, how did you manage to insure the car?!? May I ask who did u insure it with :)

it wasn't too bad to be honest, i'm with greenlight who i had dealings with when i had my focus st, they are performance/modded car specialists and don't charge for supporting mods!! great service and ended up paying £1100 4years ncb

Stunning mate... Sprint blue S3 is the way to go

Nice car and welcome to the forum.

thanks lads! been reading your build thread alex..what an epic!! as for spec, not sure if this is all standard but, heated leather seats, cruise control, audi media sat nav, flat bottomed steering wheel, climate control, think that's about it

Many thanks.

You know you've come to the sort of place that will cost you more money!

Sounds the same as here.

I'd left a few Cosworths behind, had a few diesels in between, and then bought the S3....which was going to stay stock.

Costing me a fortune this site... ha! Can you put a price on fun though...?

Mine fits perfectly - had to trim the hoses slightly and space the small bottom lug screw with washers (Y)

Nice mate how much did you pay for the motor if you don't mind me asking?

£16,500. was more than i was willing to pay but i hated my previous car so much (boxster) i bit the bullet, and i'm so glad i did!

That's a good price though to be fair, was the Boxster really that bad?

to be fair they are good cars but you really have to rev the nuts off of it and it felt really underpowered, started to miss a turbo!. didn't particularly like the gearbox or the steering and decided to get rid after only one month. £475 a year tax and nearly £1k for disc and pads (which needed doing in the coming months) for just the front didn't help the wallet either.

Wait until you get stuck into the costs of modifying one of these ....!

after spending half an hour in west london audi waiting for them to find it, the tt-s cover and bolts are here! revo intake by next weekend hopefully :)

Loving the car mate, I bought a black s3 about 4-5 months ago. Finding it really hard not to modify it lol I'm 21 as well, just had my insurance for £800 with 2 years no claims with admiral. :) you looked into remaps yet?

this arrived at lunch time, was planning to fit it on saturday but only managed to resist for a whole 5 hours! loving the noise its making and could definitely be the start to a very expensive project :)

Did you get that from a Peugeot garage near St. Albans by any chance ?

Nice colour, actually considering selling my recently bought Imola Yellow S3 to get a Spring Blue one.

Recent purchases are decent too.

How much are these new???

yeah mate... How much was this if you dont mind... Do you still have the part number and what and how many mounts did you have to buy, I wanna get mine next week... Cheers!

i did indeed, you know the previous owner?

i bought the cover from west london audi and these are the part numbers, i found them on this forum

tts cover 06F 103 925J
front mount ball joint 06E 103 164
rear mounts (need two of these) WHT 000 731 A
this came to £101, and literally takes 5 mins to fit!

Nice looking car! Sprint Blue does suit face lifted cars well. I had the Pre F/Lift in that colour, used to get so many comments on it. What's your profession?

VB

cheer mate, wasn't particularly bothered about the colour when i was searching for them, but very pleased with the blue! i'm a funeral director.......

just a quick update, got the revo stage 1 map this morning, and it really transforms the way the car performs. not just the power but the way it puts it down, decided to go for the much more linear file so it pulls right through the rev range and not just one big lump of boost (which was also an option) was in and out of SCC in half an hour! saving for the next few mods and then onto stage 2+ hopefully by march/april! thanks for reading, Rob

I thought you would enjoy that!

The car just feels so much better when it's been mapped,so that should make a good Xmas present.

All the best.
